Nicky, June, Benny, and Rolanda, so sorry to leave suddenly. I could not find any way back and I really tried! I am wondering if there is a loose connection in my internet box, I wiggled some wires and shhhhh, do not tell, but it is working better now! probably doesn't have a thing to do with it, but will try that next I have problems, and see.

You have all gone again, more dramas today but I am home now. Is almost 11pm here (midnight sudoku) so might as well try for the first page.

PioneerLady and MizTricia, had to laugh about husbands mental age. I always joke about having three boys. Youngest will be 8 in November, next will be 12 in December and the oldest is 45. His birthday is also October 3rd. Even his mom admits he acts like a 5 year old most of the time. The only good part is I win all the arguements because "I am the MOM!!!"

I need to try that, Tami. My idjit hubby, though 59, has a mental age of probably 3 or 4. When he doesn't get his way, he actually throws temper tantrums! He turns red in the face, balls up his fists, jumps up and down and SQUEALS in a high pitched voice!!!! I am SO glad that I've had a bunch of witnesses (all in a state of shock that a so-called adult would do this) to this behavior, or no one would believe it.
When I give him a chore to do (very rarely), he always does the worst job he can, so he doesn't get asked again. One of his favorite excuses why he can't do something is that his Mommy didn't teach him how to do that!!!! I have called his mother a few times
when he's said this, and told her that I'm returning him for training. Her reply is that she doesn't want him either.

HI Susan, yes, we hang out over here a lot. Welcome to SA6 pages. visit us again when you might find more of us about, or just come and talk about whatever, someone will drop by sooner or later and answer you.
Heidi, too funny about returning IH for training. I guess I never trained mine right when I met him, he did not come trained either. Mine does not have temper tantrums, he goes for the silent treatment. Once it made me most upset and I could never figure what was the cause, would blame myself. then I realized I was not responsible for his behavior and could not change it, I could only change my reaction to it. I ignore him now, and he talks again when he is ready.
Broni, you do not need more dramas sweetie, what is going on now? Hopefully not more medical problems . We are here if you need to talk about it, you know.

A little breezy here, as usual, but gorgeous. I really should finish getting dressed and go outside. Yawn.
It's usually breezy here 'cause we're on the highest point between Louisville and Nashville.

i always wonder heidi- how did such a clever lady like yourself end up with someone like IH?
i love hearing the silliness of your hubbys cause it make me so glad of the one i have. he is a job finisher. he gets it done quicker and better than anyone i know. he does get silent like mizt's, and like her i have learned to just let him figure out what is bothering him and he will come around. of cours since he has been out of town so much he has reached and almost exhalted status in my eyes. he'll probably come back down to earth once he is home more often.

The girls are back to school today. I will have the house to myself!! Yay! That means I might finally get to the bottom of the mess too. When they are home it seems I tidy something, bring out the goodies to clean it, and it's covered again! I have to haunt them to get them to pick up after themselves... it's driving me mad... I really haven't done a good job training them.

Good morning all.
My hubby never seems to notice when things need doing,BUT,I have found that if I leave him a list of things,he is very happy to do them and tick them off.Works for us.I'm not nagging and he is helping.
Last night he even remembered to put the bin out.wow

I was laughing at your mental age comments. There's nothing wrong with hubby's mental age, matches his chronological one, but I occasionally will speak to him as if he is one of the girls. He just looks at me and raises his eyebrows!

Nola, a list might work with my hubby if he was home! When he is home he'll say - why didn't you ask me, you shouldn't be lifting that - to which I answer - who do you think does it when you're not home?? Or at least I used to. He seems to feel guilty about that instead of realising I'm not some helpless kitten...

Laughing at the hubby tales. I complained last night at about 11.30 when he came to bed and put the radio on. It helps him go to sleep, but wakes me up. He got out and is asleep in another bed(with no radio). I have not looked to see which one but hoping it is not the one I have just washed the sheets and made up in case his mother does not cope by herself this week and comes to stay!

Yes Suzy, bit hard if they aren't there.I will attempt most things but draw the line at the ride on mower that he adjusted for left handed people. It hasn't got a steering wheel anymore, just a lever.I cant do a thing with my left hand only sweep. My excuse anyway.I wont tackle the tyre change either.

We borrow a ride on occasionally. It's an old one that a very mechanically minded friend keeps going and going and going. I don't like it because it doesn't have brakes! I don't know if any of them do, but this one will zip along at a great rate and then you have to force a gear change to slow down. If you miss the change, yikes!!

Suzy, They do normally have brakes.Even the old one we had at my Mum's over 20 years ago has brakes. Are you leveling out the grass after the 4 legged mower? Have a nice quiet day.

You guessed it June! The mowing lady did a good job getting the level down, but she has left things rather uneven...
I need to do a weed and feed too as I have a couple of patches of clover that need to be attended to. That will disappoint tiptap though. He likes it when we bring him clover flowers.
