June what a lovely story !!!
we have a similar one at work.
they met when they were young but when he was shipped out to go to war, in the second world war, they grew apart.
Both married different people had their families, eventually they were both widowed,
and to their shock two years later they met up again, the kids tell us that it was like they had never parted, fell in love instantly.
he has now been diagnosed with cancer, and his girlfriend can't cope as he is now high care, but she is there visiting daily, holding hands.

A DVD, a computer game, a choppy thing for when he flings food around the kitchen, a T-shirt, and that sock thing we were talking about earlier. I'm still laughing about my adventure while obtaining the sock!!

RolaDahlia, your hubby might like the pen my hubby wanted. It records and links the recording to writing. I'm not sure, but I think you use it with a tablet thingy. Very cool, though possibly not very useful unless you want to cheat on exams..

It was hilarious Gail! My eyes were so far out on sticks that I nearly lost them... I have decided I have lived a sheltered life. I nearly giggled, but didn't quite embarrass myself that much.

Somehow I dont think the pen would be on Hubby's list !!
He does however have on his list: Belt, Watch.
His MIL is buying him a bottle of Port, (MIL asked her grandson to get it.
His Mother was talking about getting him a bottle of Chivas Regal.
I will buy as minor gifts his favourite Coffee, Cherry Ripe, Allsorts Liquorice...
