Hiya Becky and Stella, how are you both?

Broni, doing better. Went to the dentist yesterday and he tried a different number on me. Told me it would wear off in 30 min. Whole side of my face was numb for over 4 hours.

Stella, it's been spitting snow here. None on the ground.

Broni, I will show that you're not really that old cause I'm a spring chicken....

My flat mates when I went to Uni went to a different University to me - I went to Sydney they went to NSW. I was using a UNIX mainframe, but they were coming home with punch cards! So it's not the olden days after all!

Here goes, if we are all confessing...I used punch cards too when I was in high school! When hubby first got into pooters, I knew more about them than he did!

BTW That lasted for about 5 mins!

My ears, my sensitive ears.
Now I will have to go scour them out!

Time for me to leave I think, if you are all going to say things I'm not allowed to hear.
I bid you

Bryana wanted me to come to her game tomorrow, but with snow on the way, I've decided not to go. Ian is supposed to have his last game tomorrow. Looks like it will be cancelled. His game last night was too close for comfort. It was raining and chilly and the field was muddy. They won in double overtime. But they had about 30 chances to score before that. The game shouldn't have been close, but they crushed this team before and they thought they would do it again.

My school got A computer before I left. There was one guy at school who could use it, and none of the teachers...

Hubby had a 286 when I married him. I didn't know anyone who had their own computer before hubby.

40MB hard drive, now 40GB is small, 256K RAM, now you get gigabytes of RAM. AND the operating system was just DOS, no Windows! Does that make me old????

I had the first portable computer made by IBM. I lugged it to work with me and home again. It weighed 30 pounds and was the size of a suitcase. People were amazed when they saw it. They never saw a computer you could take with you!!

Susan, only like the smell of coffee. It tastes bitter to me.

Suzy, FIL had a Commodore 64. You had to use a tv as a monitor. Geez, just told my age.

Now I have a paper thin laptop that weighs 3 lbs! Hubby threw the old one a way a long time ago. I told him we should have kept it to show the kids and put it in a museum! Kids today would never believe it!

Night Gail!

Stella, staying close to home does sound like a good idea with snow in the forecast!

Well Stella, Becky and Susan, (left out Broni cause she seems to have disappeared), I would love to stay and chat with you but I might just fall asleep on the keyboard...

Night all!

Susan, if you like snow, you should visit here in the winter. We usually get several feet of snow over the winter. Matter of fact, we need to get a new snow blower. The old one is on its last leg and it's hard to clear the driveway without one.

Wow! Amazing! A portable computer the size of a suitcase! I am pretty sure I heard about the Commodore 64... Not the Atari 64...
