I am OK. No point in getting myself stressed (or I'll come out in hives!). I just go with the flow. If the house is untidy so be it. If I get an oppertunity to have coffee with a friend or some other activity I do so.Other things will wait. All necessary things get done eventually. Life goes on.

and no...I haven't been drinking.....
I have a life and it has been interfering with my cyber time... despite that have have had a great day...
Pete and I went to Werribee Open Plains Zoo....perfect weather and being a weekday it wasn't too crowded or busy. Pete bought a new camera yesterday and have had heaps of fun...another Canon but with double the pixels.
Eaa...spent ages sitting and watching some of my favourite little critters...I love Meerkats...

This evening we had a wonderful evening of drama. The VCE students, [topsiders - yr12 or final year], put on a show and they all performed their solo acts in front of a live audience. These are the acts/performances they will be doing for their exams. We have been transported from the Merchant of Venice to the Outsider and all other manner or inspiration. An extraordinary amount of talent on display tonight. I expect we will some more of these kids in years to come on the big screen.

Lachie performed an original piece - he has been fine tuning his script all holidays - it was very witty and quite hilarious.
Yes...I am very proud.
[I don't think he understands yet why I performed in a skit in front of his school when he was in prep.....but the day is getting closer. He was so embarrassed but everybody else thought it hilarious.... ]

About 3 or 4 depending on when Mr. Vici wakes. His hand has been SO SORE since they took the cast off and stitches out. So he has had to take pain meds to sleep...has him waking later, but I know the rest is very helpful.

Ahh, VICI , hubby did not know just how much support he was getting from that cast, huh? Hope the pain does not interfere with your trip, but since you do not have a schedule, he can still sleep in somewhat (check out time in hotels is when?)

Blast off around 9 a.m., I think...depends on when Mike wakes up. We're in no particular hurry as we are only driving about 6 hours today. Then we'll drive another 6 to make it to our destination tomorrow.

yeah - check outs are usually around 11 - plenty of time to sleep in considering what early risers we are...I've been up for several hours now. Guess I was too excited to sleep!

We'll be sharing the driving - he prefers to drive, but will probably get tired easily. He only takes the pain meds at bedtime, so he'll be alert enough to drive - wouldn't let him otherwise.

Yes, Suzy's hubby misses pickles. I never did ask what his pickle of preference was, either. SUZY, what brand of pickle is his favorite??

Oh Tricia - just to get away... that enough will make it heaven!
We live in a beautiful spot in the mountains, but dealing with this construction and not really going much of anywhere for over 2 years has taken it's toll! I'm so grateful Mike's hand got so bad he needed the surgery - otherwise I don't think we'd be going!

I was thinking about that Vici, him not being alert for driving. If I took pain pill at night, would need a late sleep in and a LOT of coffee to be alert enough to drive. I get medication hangovers too, but then I am a wimp when it comes to meds. Cannot compare me to the rest of the world.

We googled the weather where we are going and on Friday and Saturday they may have their first snow of the season! Sure glad we looked as I was packing shorts and sandles - expecting autumn warmth during the day...then perhaps cool evenings.

Same for us, Tricia - re: the meds. We both don't drink or take any kind of pills along those lines, and haven't for many years. So we are both wimpy in that arena, too. I would like to drive the first leg until he's had plenty of caffine and a meal!

Found out we have internet access the first night at the hotel we are staying at - I think that will be the case most places we stay - otherwise it'll be coffee houses with Wifi. We're bothing taking our own puters, so we may be fighting over the connection if it's not Wifi!
