We are having a thunder storm just now, stopping us from loading the caravan. Hopefully it will pass soon. I think Callie is worried that we are going to leave her at home. Everytime we open the caravan door she is straight in and claiming a seat. We will leave her at home with Elaine when we go Saturday as They go to training classes on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Elaine is then coming to join us on Saturday afternoon bringing Callie with her.

Traveling to the south coast, not too far away about a 2 hour drive, to a place called Normans Bay.
The caravan park we use is just over a small road from their private beach. Very quiet but not too far away from a town, so we can have the best of both worlds .. peace and things to do

BRENDA, hope the remainder of the packing goes smoothly, and have a great trip, sounds the ideal place and on the beach, oh how I envy you.

I love the ocean/sea/gulf. We are spoiled at our southern coastline and the florida panhandle with sugar white sand, I was most amazed to see the dirty gray, large grained builders sand of the StPeteersburg/Tampa region, my one trip there, and aat St ugistine, and the rocks with grass growing almost to waterline of the Connecticut area. I thought (duh) all beaches were white sugar sand!

What is your beach like?

MizTricia, I LOVE that mug! I'd adore a real one like it, what with the peacock tail feather on it. I recently added 10 baby peafowl to the menagerie.
The Plumber is now here with the smallest backhoe I've ever seen. Right now he's digging up shrubbery behind the house to expose all of the old wiring to the well. It all has to be replaced. That means $$$$$

Unfortunately MizT the beaches on the south coast of England are pebbles, now the are I originally come from in the north east of the country the beaches are fine golden sand. If we could have those beaches down south and still keep the warmer weather then it would be perfect. As that is not going to happen I am content just to watch the ever changing views over the sea. Bliss

BRENDA, pebbles would be fine if they are nice smoothe pebbles.

Oh they are nice and smooth MizT but they still hurt the feet when walking bare footed.

The biggest advantage of pebbles is that they do not get into any food taken for a picnic on the beach Sand gets everywhere.

Rena, How are the plans for your vacation to Oz going?

HEIDI, I think the cup loks like a peacock tailfether also, does not matter what the artist names the cup. I was attracted to it be all the lovely colors, all of them on the blue side of the color wheel.

Suzy - what's the Ally report. Hoped she came home yesterday with a smile on her face...and how about you, darlin'?

She did Vici. It seems people are being extra nice at the moment, even ones who were extra mean before. The daughter of the woman who told me off is not on that list, but she isn't allowed to approach Ally anyway. So Ally came home actually smiling and even singing and dancing a little yesterday.

Ally will only sing in a silly way when I am in the room. I listen through doors so see how she is progressing. With the competition at the end of October and her solo at Carols in the Park in December, I want to do all the worrying for her!

Great news, Suzy - I didn't realize she was a singer...
that deserves my lovely (MzT) song smilie!
