I'm off to the puzzles. I can't believe I haven't done them yet -- and it's almost eleven pm here.

The beach was nice today, too cool for me in the water. Amber did go in.
School tomorrow, we need to finish grade 3. Working very hard to achieve it.

BTW Ruby - my camera has the ability to take videos...I'll see if I can't get the gang in SF to agree to a little one. But I'll have to have Rena help me youtube it - never done that before.
Of course, I'll have to get everyone's permission to submit it to youtube.

Weather is great. No hurricanes here -- yet.

Glad you had one final summer fling, Rena - I bet you have to get all your school work done before taking off time to go to Australia.

Ruby - I really want to see Rena's visits...I think it would be such a hoot. Wouldn't it be lovely if someday we could all meet somewhere - like a Sudokuland convention at some wonderful paradise location?

I will not be in so much of a hurry once we get the grade 3 work done. She is behind 2 grades but she has dyslexia and it took us a few years to find the right school work for her.

I'm fairly confident that I'll never meet the Aussies (or you, Vici and Rena) in person. Video is just the best alternative for now.

Broni - I think your feeling better is a direct result of all the nagging you've been getting...that, or the fact that you actually took it easy and have really turned the corner.

You could nag me. I need to make an appointment with the doctor. High time for a check up but my doctor moved away. Need to get a new one.

Oh Rena - now that would take some thought. It would have to be a place that we would all want to travel to for a holiday...but kind of centrally located. I would have to look at my world map for awhile. How about Africa?

It sure beats the whining we used to deal with.

Africa sounds good and warm. January would be a good month for me.

I feel so good about this curriculum that I have the whole school year planned out. I never did that before.

Actually, thinking of the DUGs, we'd need a nice 4 star hotel with room service and lots of party facilities with excellent wine and food...so Africa is probably out. It would be fun to plan one about 2 years out to give everyone time to plan for it.

What's really great is the individual attention Amber gets...it's so easy to get lost in the crowd if you're struggling to keep up. I would like a year planned out, too.

Oh yeah - love that idea! Some places aren't so safe - like Brazil. Costa Rica (although it is Central America) would have all the luxuries, plus beautiful beaches, rain forests and it is affordable!
