Just getting "crossable" after the wet which takes it up to 12 metres.

Crossable? Crossable? You've got to be kidding! Crossable by boat? Current looks challenging to this city bred child! I envy you for your adventures!

Yep Shosho, I drove across this causway shortly after taking the photo. You need to put your LHwheel in the (white) upstream back wash, Have the vehicle in Low range 4WD and 1st gear, have the windows down (incase you need to escape - not a fun option as there are crocs in this river) and just slowly and steadily go across to maintain tyre grip on the causeway. I foolwed all instructions til about 2/3s across and then thought of floating logs so just could keep going slowly and roared the engine (still in 1st) along and up the other side.
