Now THIS looks familiar. I like the white begonias in the back more than the red ones in front. I just like green foliage. It's so restful.

June, yes, those are the begonias the cold got. We had about 5 nights in a row with temps in the 20's, far below freezing. Evidently they can stand a few hours of those low temps, but not the 12-18 hour stretches we have had. Not enough sun for the asphalt and concrete to regain their warmth to be able to moderate the night time temps. Covering them would not have helped, it was the freeze, not a frost that killed them.
