Here we are at Adelaide airport, ready to board our plane for the USA. Margaret got stopped by the metal detector people (which was the first of many such incidents) and she had to explain that it was her titanium artificial hips setting off their alarm. After a thorough frisk, she was allowed through.

I'm not sure if I should make a comment as you may have to start all over again.
It looks like the start of a fantastic holiday.
Very nice photo of you both.

Life's not so easy for security now with so many people taking their artificial bits with them around the world. My doctor said to take an X-ray of my knee, but security didn't want to see it.
A lovely photo of the 2 of you.

My mother carries a doctor's note about her metal innards when she flies, but she's never had to show it. She tells them right away that she is made of metal and I suppose they believe her.

Margaret had a declaration from her doctor too but they never asked for it. I guess they figured that a document like that could be easily forged.
