Back to the dead heading. The village church bells are ringing midday so will have to think about lunch soon. At least it is not raining yet. Line full of washing.

I did indeed go for a run this morning wombat - no sunscreen needed. Tomorrow's will be much the same, even though we'll be running for about 3.5 hours.

Feeling devilish lets make it 90

all. Wow! Look what we did 2 days in a row. It's a cloudy day here and much cooler. Quite a relief from the heat & humidity. My Mum never swore either Arachnid, but one of her expressions was similar - cat s**t on twine!

Well, this gets us one post further on than yesterday. We might not get any further as our friends down under will probably be abed now. Forgot to say: back Peter. Great to hear from you again.

I also remember that if we didn't like a food we had to eat it anyway to 'learn to like it.' Worked with most foods, not all.

My dad taught me that it's not enough when teaching to explain so you can be understood. You have to explain so you can not be misunderstood.

Melding the thoughts on tea and 'go before you go' we had two parental takes on the topic. The first concerning tea was 'you only borrow it' and the second is 'don't drink too much or you have to go ''wigwam.'''

One of the best policies my parents instilled in me was taught at least semiannually at Christmas and Easter. We kids knew there were goodies waiting but the policy was 'church first.' The narrow and essential lesson was 'put God first' and 'there's a foundational reason for celebration; a Holy Day makes a holiday.' The broader interpretation was 'exercise self control.'
