From the novels I've read of modern day England to eat fish and chips out of paper (though in the books, you read of newspaper wraps - don't if I could handle the ink seasoning!) But these papers don't look like they'd add the flavor!

Shosho, they are white Butchers paper.. all fish and chips are wrapped like that.
Amber asked where the fork was, and I said umm you eat fish and chips with fingers.. she soon got the hang of it !!
