That is a great photo. We had Superb Swallows nesting under our house (the previous house). They used to fly in and out through an open doorway and many times I nearly had a bird-strike as I was going under the house to fetch some gardening tools. I loved watching them swooping around collecting food. I called them the 'Bikers' of the bird world because they were alwaysdoing 'wheelies' around the house. I have a couple of photos of them on my Flickr pages.

We have a few pairs that nest around the house and sheds. They are busy birds when they have young and you certainly have to give way to them.

It sounds so funny to my American ears to hear "North for the winter" as up here in the northern hemisphere, all the birds go south for the winter. Many from Canada only make it as far south as south Florida, where I live, and winter in the Everglades.
