This is the actual bell from the Edmund Fitzgerald Ship. One was replaced on the wreckage with all the names of the people who perished.

My husband used to work on the ore boats on the Great Lakes. He was actually on the Edmund Fitzgerald. He left her as she departed for her fateful voyage, thus was probably her only survivor.
