Painted Desert, northern Arizona

Truly beautiful rock colors and shapes with a mountain from the Hopi Indian Reservation in the background.  This photo was taken with the sun low in the west, so the red colors  were dominant.  While the rock is beautiful, the rugged and dry topography makes one wonder how any animal or human life survives in such surroundings.

Most unusual picture. It almost looks like a double exposure, with the horizontal lines across the rocks
You certainly were in the right place at the right time. I wonder how this would go as a jigsaw ?
