It was the most traumatic experience I've ever had to go through!

Ruby, have you given up on us? I'll be around (but in and out of SA) for about an hour, I think. I visit the puzzles, but pop in and out every 5 minutes or so.

Same here. We keep having teaser showers. It'll start, then quit. We've had a few gusts, some lightning, but no rain.

Other than going to a water aerobics class in the morning, we didn't do anything out of the ordinary. As can be expected, some neighbors had some illegal fireworks in the evening. We didn't do anything special. What about you, Becky? Did you and hubby celebrate in a special way - parades, fireworks, etc.?

Gail, the good news is that you're able to join us now.

As for temps, I heard 90's tomorrow and 95 or more for Sat. and Sun. We haven't even had any teaser showers or even a few droplets here, though we could use some rain.

I'm sob ok now sob though cos my magic man fixed it!

All this talk of heat is making me feel even colder than I already did!

We went to my oldest SIL's for a cook out. Ate way too much. Our local parade was cancelled because they have the sidewalks torn up. We watched a few fireworks from the bottom of our driveway. Hubby had to go to work this morning and wanted to go to bed as soon as they were over.

Gail, you are VERY VERY lucky to have a magic man!

It must be hard if the next day is a work day. Shame it can't always fall on a weekend!

No. He works for a bank with their computers.

Not sure of today's max but most days this week have been in the very low teens Celcius which I think is the low fifties F.

Gail, that's good sleeping weather here. Open the windows for the fresh air and a light blanket.

I agree, Becky, all that fresh air makes for great sleeping.
