Almost lunch time here. It's been very quiet here. I saw the picture of the puppy Brenda. How cute is she!!!! Hope everyone is having a good day. It is still dismal here and raining. I spent the morning trying to find a place for my mom at Smuggs. My sister told her she should go and stay at a place with us. She failed to mention that it is almost impossible to get one. Arrrggghhh!

Hi Stella, Hope you manage to find a place for your mum. Surely your sister should have asked you before she suggested to your mother that she should go with you

Hi Brenda! My sister doesn't always think first. My three sisters all have places there and we usually just go up and spead out between them. We don't have a place but they stay at our house on their way there and back to break up their long trip. I have no problem staying somewhere with my mom since I've been taking care of her on and off since my dad died a year ago. The problem is that we can't find a place to rent, plus it can't be too expensive. We really can't afford it.

No, nothing exciting going on here, unless you count setting a plastic egg turner on fire! Now why do they make utensils that are on and around the stove all th e time, from flamable material? I knew they would melt, but flame? Well, today I was cooking, removed the pan from the stove, turned my back to set it on counter beside sink, and somehow the spatula what was beside the eye that was on, fell ONTO the eye. lucky I have very good sense of smell and wide perepherial vision. Now sure which came first, the smell or the new source of light. Not a big fire, about the size of a kitchen match flame on one corner of the turner part, so I picked up by the handle, and doused it in the sink :>).

About as exciting s it gets here today. The rest is just some of Gails STUFF that has gotten behind.

MizT that could have been a very nasty fire. Maybe not devistating but the mess caused by plastic when it burns isn't nice it gets everywhere... my brother set fire to his kitchen years ago after thinking he had turned something off then falling asleep in his chair

Mizt.. at present we have our youngest daughter's step grand-father (her late mother's step father) here and we haven't told him yet that we are getting a new puppy, so we cannot talk openly about her. Computers come in handy for silent communications
