I bet you are looking forward to getting away Stella

Just wondering.

I'm looking forward to it and I'm not. There's always alot of anxiety into getting ready and it usually seems like it's more trouble than it's worth. But once we're there and having fun, then you forget about that part.

For some reason I am really tired today. I've been tired all day. I guess I didn't get much sleep last night.

I know what you mean, I worried about being ready and having enough clothing for our trip, but once we were away it didn;t matter. If we ran out of something we just bought some. Then when we got home it took us a week to get everything put back to normal. Now (we have been home nearly two weeks) we are planning for a long weekend away at the end of August. We are taking our caravan for that so it isn't as demanding on time.

S#1's team has lost all of their games so far. I guess they played well today against the top team, but still lost. They have one more game at noon tomorrow and then Hubby and S#1 will be heading a little further south to visit my inlaws for a couple of days. They'll get back in time to wash their clothes and repack for Smuggs.

Wasn't your husband away last night. I never sleep well when Richard is away (not that that happens very often)

NO, I got called away for a bit Brenda, sorry. had to hold a light for hubby.

I can hear S#2 singing Piano Man at the top of his lungs in the basement. He probably thinks noone can hear him. D#1 just shouted down to him to be quiet. lol

Hope you son doesn't dwell on the fact that they haven't won. It is great that he has had the opotunity to play

Brenda, no, not a dome, and it is not yet dark here! Except in a closet. We had a water leak at the hot water tank that is built into a closet.

The games don't affect him at all because he is already going to college. It is for the rest of his team because they still have a year left of HS. Hundreds of college coaches come to this tournament to recruit. Some of the boys were hoping to get recruited.

Well Stella and Mizt I am away to bed, it is past the witching hour and I'm tired. See you tomorrow I hope

Yes, he will be playing at college but he got an academic scholarship, not a sports one.

Stella, no, it was a pipe coming from the water heater, thankfully. We have a type of plastic pipe that did not have a long life, it has repeatedly failed. Was a class action law suit, and many got thier houses replumed/ i was on the list. they bankrupted fore they got to me!

That's really annoying! Will the new pipe hold up better?

yes, we do not have problems with the new pipe , but occasionally at the fitting connecting the new pipe to the old pipe. he has come up with a 'make do' solution that really works better than what they sell for repairing this stuff. you can not buy the old kind any more and the 2 are not compatible in any fitting except a compression fitting.

We're going to have to replace our water heater. We have to wait until we can get a new one but the current one is leaking.

academic scholorships are wonderful, he is to be congratulated!

My grandaughter had a sports scholorship, soccer, but could not keep her grades up and play. she was not accustomed to the freedon she had living away at college and made some poor choices.

Stella, I happen to have a spare, wanna come borrow it? Water heater I mean. A friend was moving, hav bought one to replace, but found the water heater was not his problem or something like that. did not want to move it, so he gave it to AL. still in the box

I hope it is located where a leak is not a problem.

Good morning Rola, I did not see you pop in!

I must be off and finish our dinner. We do not eat our big meal at lunch time on Sunday, not with just the 2 of us home. So i have some planned over chicken, need to steam some green peas and nuke some taters. Easy dinner tonight!

gee, only 8 till tops! should we race for it Stella? one of the few more that will be offically counted.

We're keeping an eye on it. It is in the basement so not a huge problem.

MizTricia, yorkshire puds are simply batter cooked in the cooking oil around the roast. Taste better than they should! Traditionally a 'filler'to make the meat go further.
