What have you been up to lately, Julie?

We drove to MA to see daughter, SIL, grandbaby, granddog, and new grandpuppy. We spent a few days visiting there & drove back. That's about all the excitement here. Also, neighbors invited us to spend a few hours with them on their boat on a lake on Saturday. It was relaxing and cooler than on land

How about you - now that the headache is better?

Just been catching up on housework and gardening. Nothing exciting. We're still trying to think of somewhere to go. I'd like to go back to Hershey, PA and a few other places around there.

I'm sure you enjoyed you visit to MA. How old is the grandbaby?

Hi Becky and Julie! I've been searching last week's archives trying to find a song I heard on someone's youtube. I don't remember the title nor artist, nor who posted it, just that it was about a telephone conversation or ''hello'' and I wanted my son to make it into a ringer. It's been driving me crazy!!!

Becky, grandbaby is 21 months, grandpuppy is now about 11 weeks, and granddog is 7 years.

I should have been in bed an hour and a half ago! Of course, I'm also wound up with the fact that D#1 was in a car accident on the way home from work. Our one good car is not driveable. The person in front of her started slowing down then all of a sudden stopped. D#1 swerved to the left to avoid her and the car had decided to make a uturn, so it turned right into her path. The car didn't even know she was there or that she was trying to avoid rearending her. Needless to say, D#1 was very shaken up but not hurt.

Becky, I should have known!!! I thought I must have seen it on Easy, and it was me visiting you from here all along!!! No wonder I couldn't find it. lol

Of course, I have the excuse that my mind is gone with all the college and school prep!

Glad to hear she's ok. Just take a deep breath and say a short prayer. Everything has a way of working itself out.

Oh, Stella, I'm so sorry to hear about D#1's car accident! Thankfully she wasn't hurt! Does you auto insurance cover renting a car while yours is fixed, or will it need to be replaced? Was the other driver on the phone at the time? It sure doesn't sound as if all attention was on driving.

Becky's advice is right on target!

She was upset for hours and she did not have a good day at work either. I told her not to go in tomorrow, especially since they took advantage of her today. They had her work a full day at one branch of the bank and then race to another branch to cover the late afternoon shift. So she worked from 7am til 6:30 pm and she said she didn't get a break. Wednesday is her last day, so she's happy about that.

I wouldn't go in tomorrow either. They are taking advantage of her and will probably do it again before Wednesday.

It was after hours so I have to call the insurance company tomorrow. D#1 got a ticket because the officer said that any time you hit someone from behind, the assumption is that it is your fault. He did say that he could tell from the position of the cars, that the other car caused it.

If it isn't too much of a hassle, she can fight the ticket. Hubby did it about 10 yrs. ago and won.

Well ladies, as you know, it is very late, so I'm going to try to get some sleep. I hope you both have restful nights! Hope to catch you tomorrow! Take care.

ps: the officer advised her to fight the ticket and also postpone it until she is home from school at Christmas.

What a crowd! I haven't seen this many chairs here for ages. Just as well I was passing with groceries. I'll leave some bikkies, checked the tea and coffee. They're still ok. Better leave milk, I only have lo-fat, that'll have to do. Stack the chairs, quick sweep and away I gooooo...

Stella, so scary, the accident daughter had, things happen so fast! I am glad she was not injured, but what a chore getting the car repaired! Glad it is not needing to get the daughter repaired!!

Good morning all! Cool this morning and sunny. It will probably heat up later on. I found D#1 on the couch this morning. She said she couldn't sleep last night. After checking with the insurance company, I'm taking the kids shopping. HELP!!
