I was doing the same thing as I was reading some of them for the first time. I would be cracking up so hubby wanted to know what it was about. He just said we were all nuts. I thought that sounded like a fair and reasonable assessment of us!

personally I liked the party idea AS LONG as you were aware the recipient would enjoy it...and it is 'between friends'...which seems to have been the case

Oh vdV, you are seriously in for it now! You can't go telling people to gloss over it, they cant seem to tell one sort of post from another.
As Anne from Vermont said, the more rules we have imposed on us, the less fun it is. I couldn't believe it when someone complained about the birthday wishes on easy and the compassionate posts, like really! If we can't tell jokes, can't say , can't give sympathy or hoorahs when appropriate, what's left? I know we all love Sudoku but there's not a lot to say about it!

Sorry, have to go do the dinner 'thingy' but was just explaining this latest brouhaha to hubby, who said that text does not take up any space, unlike the photos and youtubes etc, so it really wouldn't matter how much typing there is, no matter how slow your internet connection!

Yes you need to type a few thousand words just to get the the size of the avatar!

As an example, (I am not picking on you Mary), for Mary to have her avatar say MARY is using 1552 bytes, that's the same as typing MARY 388 times!

OK a few thousand was an exaggeration, but you get the idea. (a few hundred then)

and whats wrong with typing my name 388 times

The picture on the top of Rolanda's page is the same as typing nearly 80,000 characters!
Get the point, the text just doesn't matter!
