Stella, I forgot to answer your question yesterday about the phone calls. There's no laws in Ohio preventing them from calling. In fact, there is a company that collects the info and sells it to these people. As if I would trust one of them to handle any issues that might arrise.

As to the question RE a party on my page, no problem with me.
No one that had a party on their page has come forward and said they do not approve.

I find it a bit annoying when those not involved make a big 'personal' thing about any subject. Freedom of speech, if it doesn't involve you stay out of it, you have no right to be there, if it does involve you make you opinion known load and clear!

I just find the whole thing a touch sad. No harm was intended by anyone involved.

You know, a few people complained when a few were held on Easy. Now a few complain when it's held on someone else's page. I kind of feel like the line from Garden Party, "You can't please everyone, so just please yourself."

They even had a go at this page, eg TOPPs. Not anything to do with someones 'personal' page

Your last comment on the new forum page made a lot of sense vdV. I just wish, as I said in my comment, they had simply said something rather than cause all this 'us and them' feeling that always arises from these major public announcements.

I have read back in the archives around the time of one of the 'cruises' To be honest, it all bored me senseless so I bypassed it. I thought it was as simple as that.

Do you think Rolanda will get a kick out of all the comments? I do!

I hope so, now I'm a little nervous about her reaction. I wish I had warned her to turn off the email facility.

That's the whole thing, vdV. It was a bunch of us from SA3 that started it on her page. We all here feel that we are friends so we certainly wouldn't have started it if we thought she wouldn't like it.

Gail, all she has to do is select all delete. That's what I do when I get a bunch of junk mail. I think she'll know that we didn't mean any harm.

Even with dialup email, it's only a small amount of text it will download very quick. This site is slower not because of the posts but because of the advertising/formatting.

The last time Ian went away just recently, he asked us not to party at his place which we all respected.
Besides, one party is more than enough!

Which just goes to prove, we are here to have some fun, not upset anyone.

As I said, something could just have been said, it did not warrant a soapbox sermon.

Being an open forum, you know this will get read and we'll get told off again for talking about it in the wrong place! Honestly, it's like being back at school.

I normally don't post to these kinds of things; if there is no fuel added to the fire it will go out; but I took this one a little to hart so through my two bobs worth in.

I read some of the posts to hubby. He said that some of us seemed to be in fine form.

I'm hearing you vdV. That's why I jumped in as soon as I saw it. Its not as though we have actually trashed their home and garden for crying out loud. While yes, they are personal pages, they are NOT private. As I said, it is an open site now with the option of delete. If one was on my page, I would probably read it then delete it, but save it like I think you said Becky.

I bet Ian/Boston, comes and has a go at us/me, he likes to put his nose into everything that may upset someone else, so now I have given him cause to have a go at me by naming him, saying you are opposed to something by doing it right where your are opposing it, sorry Ian actions talk loader than words. Can I try for a CP by opposing CPs?
