all.
Been busy, busy, busy. Trying to catch up on stuff around here that I put off. Yesterday we went to my sister's. From there, her and I went to the bridal shower. So much driving, 100 miles to my sister's, 32 to and from the shower and another 100 back home.

Rena, good going for you and Amber. Glad to hear that she's doing so well.
Stella, got to admit that hubby did most of the work with the snow blower. The blower leaves a layer that I remove with the shovel. Please wish your mom a belated
from me.
Gail, glad to hear that Nibbles came through ok. Please give her an extra scratch from me. Happy to hear that you liked the chops. I made them for hubby the other night.

Brenda, I grew up being told not to plant the garden until Memorial Day weekend (May 16 this year). By this time the chance of frost is almost nil. Since your climate is milder than ours, you'll probably be able to plant sooner.
Mamacita, hope you have a great time on your trip.
Suzy, happy anniversary and congrats on the new job.

MizT, we bought an old-fashioned push mower for when the grass isn't too long. The neighbors at first thought we were nuts, but if you keep up a steady pace, it cuts just as good and without the noise.
Ruby, glad to hear that the bad storms have passed you by. Was surprised that a tornado hit Atlanta. You might want to try giving Rudy Beano. SIL's one dog used to give off green clouds until she gave it to her.

Tonight we're going to his sister's for supper. I made chicken cacciatore and garlic bread to take with us.
Well, off to wash the dishes and sort the laundry for tomorrow. I need a maid.

BECKY, here the day to plant a garden is Good Friday! So sometimes it is earlier and some times it is later. Our last frost date is listed as march 15, sometimes we get frost later, but not often. I remember one year, I put out tender Impatiens on Valentines Day! I mulched with pine straw and a couple nights when mid 30's were forecast, I covered them completely, but they survived just fine. I keep old blankets and bedspreads on hand for covering plants during a frosty night.

MizT, had no problems logging on, just all comments had disappeared.
Rolanda, the first thing that popped into my head when you mentioned Sweet Peas was Popeye and Olive Oyl.
Got my hair cut tonight after dinner. SIL used to be a barber/beautician. Had her take about 5 inches off. One of these days I might decide on what to do with it.

Oh, hello. For a while this didn't work.
Becky, Rudy just needed to go out badly. He drops a bomb if I don't take the first hint. He has never soiled the house -- just tore it up.

Hi all, planting the veg seed (in small pots) had to be put off over the weekend. It rained so badly that our back garden was standing in about an inch of water in places. I must get them done this weekend as I will have help as the kids will have started Easter break on Thursday.

My first day back at work in a while went well. It was actually great to be out of the house - until I got home that is and worked out that the fairies hadn't been and done all of the housework. What were they thinking!!

Taking d2 to a counsellor tomorrow - death obsession. Can't work out why - my father died when I was 16, her paternal grandmother died before she was born, her paternal grandfather died when she was 4, she left her US family (same as if they died as she hasn't seen them), my mothers partner died a couple of years after we got back to Oz, a dog died...... and I wonder why she worries about other people dying....

How old is D2?
My D3 is terrified of a madman breaking in and killing her in the middle of the night. She just told me about it recently. She can rationalise it but still has the fear.

After d2 put a note on her door 'If I die, look in my moneybox' about 6 months ago I called and talked to someone. This time when she asked me to sleep with her as she was worried she would never see me again (because I'd died) I asked if she would like to talk to someone who might be able to help her worry less, she said YES. So I called and made an appointment. We'll see what happens...

Try to put it out of your mind for tonight.
You have set the wheels in motion. Remember to tell her she is empowered in this discussion, it is all about her and her fears.
