When do I need to be packed and ready June? Sounds like my kind of holiday, all arranged.

We leave 6 August and will get home 23 August.Will be away for Laura's 3rd birthday.

I think Sharon is planning something with her little friends on the actual day. We will probably just have a cake and pressies here when we get back.

Haven't asked you for a while, how is Laura at the moment?

Laura seems much better. Still taking lots of medication but is eating much more.

We had lamb fillets last night.
Dinner now simmering nicely.

How did you cook the fillets June?

Its getting dark .... can't say I like these short days!! Must go do some more stuff, go to the gym or think about what on earth I can rustle up for dinner. Will catch you all later.

Bean, this weekend is the winter solstice so they are only going to get longer again from here on in!

thank goodness for that....have lost track of the date and without my mum here to remind me of the shortest day etc I lose track of just how long we have to put up with these ever shortening days. I always feel better when I know that the days are getting longer

BTW.. does anyone like losing?
We could have some very interesting histrionics if we were to go bowling!!!! Have lots of good ideas but maybe it is time the 'kids' had one or two.

But then again we could pair up against them 'cause we are mature enough not to too much if we lose! [with my style they couldn't help but win!] Lunch is sounding very stress free at the moment

We have just arrived home from Ten Pin Bowling (Twilight zone music). d1 got a Turkey!! Woo Hoo! Ended up with a 133 game (average 112). d2 has only been bowling this year, has an average of 82.

Bean, I lightly cooked the fillets in a little butter in the pan. Then sliced them across. Served with mint jelly. Lots of vegetables. Being only two of us I can sometimes get the more expensive cuts when they are on special. We then have less meat so in the end does not cost any more.

June...YUM!!
Lots of veges sounds good...think I might go cook up a whole lot of cauliflower and cheese sauce!
