Wanh!!! Been trying to catch up on the posts since I've been gone. Started on page 73 and seems everytime I go to the next page, another appears. I know, I know, should have stopped by sooner.

Repairs, caulking, painting, installation of new curtain rods, and new carpet is done. Hubby rolled the ceiling and half the walls for me. No other help for me. The only things left to do is rehang 2 doors (after repairing 1).

Would someone send me the bat and lawn mower jokes? I'm in need of a good laugh. Thanks. Will tell why later.

Broni, glad to hear that your surgery went well. I was surprised that you are driving already. My friend's doctor told her she'd have to wait 6 weeks to drive or work.

Bean, sorry to hear about your MIL. I understand why your BIL wants to put her into a home. When my grandfather had his first stroke, it was debated and decided that would be the best for him. Luckily, there is a great one that is run by Mennonites and are very careful in who they hire. I met a some very nice patients there and would never want to give up those memories.
You mentioned doing the 16 x 16 and not wanting to lose it. All you have to do is open another window and play it. That way you can log off and not lose it.

Made a few new laws here. Shoes off at the front door on rainy days and no eating in the living room. Hubby said he can live with those.

Got to say yes. The walls are a shade above the color of grass and the carpet is a tan. The sales slip calls it bamboo. And, we gave the entertainment unit to a neighbor's daughter who just got married.

Been fairly warm here, but the humidity is bad. Weeded the veggie garden yesterday morning while it was cool and still got damp.

like green, our bedroom is lightish green and maroon, bedspread is green and maroon

been tooooo wet and cold here to go out in the garden to deweed it

That's the next room, if I feel up to it. Right now it's a peachy color. Going to change it to cream, tear out the carpet and refinish the floor.

at least you will be kept out of mischief with all this renovations !!

Sorry I missed wishing Stephen a Happy Birthday. Hope you all had a good time celebrating.

Thanks Becky, we did, we had a lovely family meal, both the grandmothers were invited, plus a couple of friends.
Both Grandmothers stayed overnight, plus 2 others, .. we had the 'vacancy full' sign up at the front of the house.

It's fun having company, but I'm glad when they leave. I feel like I need to be the perfect hostess and always feel like I've fallen short.
