I do the Sudoku in the Sydney Morning Herald every day, but occasionally, when work is slow,  I need another fix, that's how I discovered this site.

Other interests include cycling, occasional bush-walking, on-again off-again gardening, photography, my chooks and gorgeous sheltie, Skoosh. Also recently, a forray into bread making, using a bread machine, with very mixed results. I would love to learn tips and tricks and share recipes.

Smile

Bargo is in the wollondilly Shire sw of Sydney (almost the Southern Highlands). Wollondilly is Sydney's water catchment hence most of the shire is rural or bushland with large water storage dams. This means that the cycling is wonderfully scenic if, at times, challenging.

I've been canoeing down that way (many many years ago) Douglas Park to Menangle, think it was the Menangle River which eventually feeds into the Hawkesbury!

I think you mean the Nepean River. It has some beautiful spots and would be awesome to canoe on. It passes through Menangle.

Hi bargosal, No doubt you have found the recipes, but in case not, they are under Forum - Off Topic and fourth item down. There are about 350 of them. the ones from USA may have items which are unfamiliar I expect. Do you have any particular item of interest in the cooking line ?

HI bargosal,
Firstly, let me wish you
Looooooooong time since you were on the site !
I do hope everything is OK with you, and that you have just been TOO busy to connect with us here.
You have not posted any photos recently, and that is a pity for the ones you have put up are really great.
I've been ''flat chat'' with trying to get the garden into some sort of order before Spring.
The weeds have a habit of growing faster than I can pull them, but I'm gradually getting ahead by
weeding first, then laying 10 sheets of dampened newspaper before mulching - it works well but is a rather slow process.
Hope to hear from you soon

Heidi would love your interest in Collie dogs.
She has so many rescues, and lives in Kentucky.
The picture of the waratah is beautiful!
It was nice to visit your page for the 1st time.
