I was just in your fair city a couple of weeks ago for a sudoku gathering, maybe we might get the chance to meet up sometime.

I just returned from my first trip "down-under" about 3 weeks ago. Got to meet lots of the Sudoku-family...absolutely LOVED Sydney - what a beautiful city!

Vibrant vici - sorry to have missed you on your trip down under, sounds like you have made lots of friend here. And Hi Mariane nice to hear from you. I an still getting to know my way around the forum site, so hopefully my response reaches you all well.

I did connect with a lot of Sudoku-family in Sydney. We had a lunch while I was there and 14 of our members attended - it was fabulous! I would have never traveled down-under had it not been for the friendships I made here on this site...that is what prompted the trip, christina. Hope you have the opportunity to meet some of us as there are so many near by you.

That's ok Christina, the door was open so I let myself in!

We just had one of our international members visiting, Vici from California, so a couple of gatherings were organised. She arrived just before the date of Halloween, so a party was held in Melbourne at Bean's house, then a week later, a lunch was organised up in Sydney. June/Epping was the host and it was held at a sports club near her. We had a great time, I think around fifteen members and their families turned up.
You would be amazed at what a meet is like, you walk in and everyone is like an old friend you haven't seen for years, a fabulous feeling. I hope you manage to get to one, keep an eye out on the 'What's On' page in forums.

I hadn't really thought about collecting choice sayings as being a hobby, but I do! I also love matching silly pictures with the words and often put them up on the daily message board at work - so I guess I have quite a good collection! I find a lot on this site!
I would love to have the time to explore Taoism and some of those other amazing religions - would actually love to hear the Dalai Lama speak next week, but can't get here (I know he's buddhist).
