Be kinder than necessary,

for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle .

Live simply,

Love generously,

Care deeply,

Speak kindly.......

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...

It's about learning to dance in the rain.

Billy - I was pretty happy at half time, then it all turned to mush. Congrats to your boys though, they hung in there and got their win.

Ah well! Next year.

Thank you Billy for making my birthday a special one.
Many sudoku friends from around the world coming to visit me and wishing me a Happy Birthday have overwhelmed me.
Peter and the boys took me out to dinner to a Chinese Restaurant, and on the Sunday, we had a delicious Roast Dinner at MIL’s.

Good luck with your exam, is it tomorrow? "may the pen be with you!" If you want I could turn into a ghost and stay by your side for prompting the correct answers and I could write a mean essay on the trials and tribulations of a duster! xxx

I was thinking more along the lines of the merits of Johnny Depp in comparison to Wentworth Miller, body shape, muscle tone... rabbitability score... I'll see what I can put together, as you know my skills with Bill Shakey were excellent so if you want it on a par with that (I know you do and I can hear you breathing a hugh sigh of relief at this point and I can't blame you, not that I'm blowing my own trumpet but I can't help it, my skill, adeptness... I won't go as it is sickening for you). Got to go and chew some Jellitots xxx

Hi Billy,

Just a quick drop in to say hello to you. Been away from the site for a while 'coz the line's very bad these days and sometimes some sites are blocked here.
Life's like that so we had to adapt.

Woohoo! Yeah Wallabies! Good to know that you turned out to stop it from completely being a Boks home game. I wish I could figure out some of the new breakdown rules - we seemed to be getting constantly penalised whilst on the attack. Very confusing.

Two bits of trivia for you - the greatest claim to fame in Fiji is to come from the same village as Lote and then even greater is to be one of his cousins and the second is that 'giteau' in fijian means 'rugby'! I hope you thawed out eventually.

We'll be turning up to the Bledisloe in Sydney and Paul is hoping to do a corporate thing in Honkers (he really shouldn't leave his new wife on that trip, should he?).

Love Rose

Shhhhh careful they might hear you, they're already having an identity crisis after overhearing someone calling them “rats with wings”. Hmm but what do they expect, they have no respect for statues and historic buildings. I heard that there was a tremendous beak to beak battle to claim Betsy’s front garden as their own turf so careful you don’t get roped in to referee that one. BTW did she use the good china? Did Todd remember his manners? Have fun shweetums xoxox

By the way, news just in! Oxford police are looking for two escaped convicts. Apparently they dug their way out of the left wing sometime on Thursday using marshmallows and brute force... They are believed to be armed and extremely dangerous. Reports are scant but they are both heading for the Spanish Costa... all ports have been alerted. Early this morning George Orwell was arrested after he had supposedly lent them two horse costumes on the eve of Wednesday. DNA on several bottles of wine has confirmed that the two suspects are, indeed, the notorious 'billy and bertie' previously confined in the Sudoku prison off the coast of Australia.

They left behind their Dick and Jane books... they are being examined by forensic scientists for further insight as to their final destination.

Some Janet and John books were also found at the scenes but they are in pristine condition and the police are not sure if they belonged to the convicts or were to be used at a future date...

Billy, please tell Glinda not to despair. I am sure Todd will reappear in his fish bowl if she pours in a little white wine. He may even have a bangle for her from his trips, a small gold token to show his affection. Then again, he may have been struck with wanderlust, swimming merrily along and looking for still waters that run deep. I'm sure he will eventually return home. "There's no place like home Todd," says Glinda as she clicks her heels together (while trying to maintain her balance and not spill her wine).

Hi Billy girl, long time no chat. I thought I'd be haunting the site once I retired, but no I'm on here less time that when I worked, which says something. Have been dancing today "Broadway Jazz". We're dancing to "the Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy of Company B", so it's no wonder I'm "pooped". Hope all is well and that the poetry course went/is going well. Talk more soon. Luv Gloria

Hi Billy - just dropping by to thank you for coming along to the gathering when we were in Perth recently. It was so nice to finally meet you and I appreciate the fact that you had to pack for your trip to KL later that evening. I'm so pleased you were able to find time for us. Hope your trip went well and was enjoyable and that you got home in time for your D's birthday on 28/9 (we got home in time for my D's 36th same day). We think WA is such a beautiful place and so different from the East coast.

Hi Billy! Just wanted to stop in and thank you for your kind (and funny) response on Easy to my little rant on SA. Point well taken and excellent advice!
I believe I was feeling over sensitive at that point (happens to aging women - lose one curse, gain another!)
Hope to have an opportunity to chat with you one day.
Blessings to you, dear one!

Billy - loved reading your post on my page, and really took in your words of wisdom and experience. Plus, the post brought me back to your page where I wandered in your flickr gallery. You have some beautiful pictures of your travels and the sunset on the front of your page is stunning. It was nice to put more faces to names, too.
Girl, you are having entirely too much fun! (oh - and I LOVE all your footwear shots!
Again, blessings to you

Sweetie, darlin, love, honey, sugar pie, angel. Thank you so much for my birthday wishes - I've been so slack in responding, I do hope you can forgive me cuddle pot. It was a lovely celebration thrown by the Greek Goddess, and, while she and her family did such a magnificent job, it would have been terrific if you had been able to celebrate with us all too - would just have been the icing on the cake. Still, I'm sure you raised a glass to all of us - didn't you?? Thanks snookums!

Crippled me but not to where I can't shoot back. You ride into battle like some Nordic Valkyrie.

Ask a six year old child to spell chrysanthemum and if they succeed correctly, you shall be immune from any further wordly missiles.

All is well! You have successfully recognized that you are not a six year old by correctly spelling chrysanthemum. A noble endeavor.

Mistress Nordquist... Hmmmm.... A plethora of visions flood my imagination. Could she be garbed in black latex carrying a velvet whip tipped by a raven's feather with quivering men falling at her feet? A leather clad sword maiden of the forest defending all who suffer injustices? The mind boggles.

Self imposed? The last chocie?

Both, imposed action/reaction scenarios instigated by others that we must alter our modus operandi, our idiom, even our way of thinking. These and other things are uppermost in behavioral modification. Why must we continue to find ourselves at the mercy of others when all we wish is to live our life to the annoyance of those who would impose their ideologies on us.

And another thing:
What splinter group of what single agenda bearing action committee would dare to relieve you of 20 cookies in one fell soup? Onward! Call for thy bit-champing steed and with sword raised high, wreck havoc upon those dastardly brows (keeping you boa safely tucked into the saddle bag so as not to trip up thy steed).

You've been remiss,
My Perth bound miss,
You rarely come to play.
But you said some words,
And those words were heard,
So I stopped in just to say..,
It is good to see you still check in,
(And I say this with a very big grin),
As I and others miss you on the site,
But I'm very glad to know,
That you still occasionally show,
It lets all of of us know your alright.
