Ole needed a week off from work to go home to the old country to attend a wedding. The manager agreed and told him to have a good time.

When Ole got back, the manager asked how he enjoyed his visit back home, and how the wedding went.

Ole said, ''It was great, lots of old friends were there, and there was lots of good food and drink, and I even won Second Prize in a dance contest at the reception.''

''That's wonderful,'' said the manager. ''What did you win?''

''First night with the bride,'' said Ole, with a shrug.

The manager was flabbergasted. ''First night with the bride! I can't believe such a thing. And what was First Prize?''

''Five pounds of lutefisk,'' said Ole, looking a little disappointed.

Linda, LOL, LOL, LOL about the chewing. Ours are 4, and still chew some. The puppy chewing is HORRENDUS! One of the drawbacks of a Golden. We were firm and tried to be consistent, removing what they shouldn't be chewing and replacing it with something that is OK to chew. My DIL has a good command...''NOT YOURS!'' They are intelligent and eager to please, so learn quickly. We keep a basket of doggie toys available, that helps. My brothers Goldies are 19 mos and 5 mos. They still chew a lot. Son's Goldie is almost 3 and doesn't chew as badly...I think 2 is the magic age. Ours actually chewed holes in the wall of our laundry room and tore up the linoleum! I blame the ultrasonic mouse deterrents that my husband swears by. We get raves on the behavior of our two. They go everywhere. I'm going on sand on...can you tell I'm a goldie person? (Actually, I'm an animal person)

Been a while since we chatted. Any snow down your way? We're green here, and having very mild weather. Unusual isn't it? Having a +9 (+/-) 45 here on December 16th is weird! Hope you and your's are having a happy time getting ready for Christmas! Cheers!

LK, You can always pull up the floor and sleep some more...then the dogs will follow, and you can then reclaim your side of the bed.... have fun! blessings of the season are being sent to you. Thanks for your visit, and I hope you stop by and pick out a gift from under the tree, and I hope it will be something that you will enjoy.

From what you have told me it's a waterbed. Problem solved... Jump on and everyone moves...then you sleep peacefully.
Melissa  From California
They are still puppies till they're about 5 (if you're lucky). For awhile we were sleeping on a less than full size sofa bed (the water bed had a leak)--by morning we always had our big chocolate lab and our son (at about 8 or 9 yrs old) in with us--it was quite cozy.
Aileen  From California
Hi, Linda!
Cute photo; your puppies must read Marmaduke in the funny pages--that looks like something he would do!
