Hi Linda
dont need a full length photo if you dont want to. we can do this I am sure ... we will support each other all the way.
I have cut down what the amount I am eating and trying not to eat any rubbish in between and started walking. also got a herbal stuff to help with the cravings for the first few weeks.
cheers ... water of course

Well done LK Every journey starts with the first small steps. With the support from everyone on this site I'm sure we can all imrove our health and quality of life.
I managed to top 10,000 steps for the first time today (day 4 of walking with a podometer)I have signed up with a free site called 10,000 steps which I googled. You input everyday and they keep a record of your progress. I'm finding it helpful to know I have to fill in the details at the end of everyday.
I too have cut out all alcohol, at least for January. High GI carbs are gone as is dairy and chocolate and sweets (the last 2 being big problems for me). Anytime you need some support or just a chat please come visit me on my page. We can do this together.

Your daughter will be your step buddy. Wish I had one here, but most of my friends just play golf and stay slim. The site I use is an Australian one 10000steps.org.au It is based at the NSW University in Rockhampton.
Good luck and keep in touch, I find that helps enormously.

Linda, Dropping by to let you know that I'm following you girl...not too quickly right now since I'm sore from my increased workouts and other efforts towards reaching my goals. Nice that Emily is learning early, the need to work out and I know you both will do well! I lift my glass to you both(water filled)!

From what I read, you are from Minnesota. I am am a fabricator and am being sent to the north and getting a job at a company called Fastenal. Is that anywhere near you? I heard it is a great company. Where would you say is your favorite town in MN? Just looking for some input. Big change from the south.

To: DJ from Alabama, I am in South East Minnesota and it just so happens that I do know the company of Fastenal, the company headquarters is close to me. What town will you be moving to? My favorite town in MN is right where I live, beautiful scenery and nice people. Check out my flickr site and you will see my town.

How did you do today? Weekends can be hard when there are invites etc. I did less than I planned but tomorrow is another day. Hopefully the rain will stop.

Hi Linda. I'm not sure if my sisters talked to you in the chatroom, but if they did thank you for putting up with them. (I don't remember...hmm) Anyway. There's no one in the chatroom right now, and my sisters are so obsessed with this website I'm just checking around everybody's (that I know) pages and just dropping a line. I should get around to being a supporting member....these pages are pretty cool.
See you in the Chatroom....

Congratulations on the safe arrival of your new scales and pedometer. Congratulations also on the 18lb loss. If I could do that by June I would be over the moon. I would also have to buy a completely new wardrobe for the summer woohoo

Only 5322 steps today plus 2000 for 20 minutes of exercise. I decided my legs were getting all the work out so spent some time with a couple of cans of tomatoes as weights working my upper body. Wow I'm so unfit. It was more hard work than the walking.

Great plan 'little by little, day by day'. I'm off out to walk a while on my own 'cos my poor little dog is still exhausted from earlier and at this moment it is not raining. See you later.
Judy  From San Diego
Linda, weighing in on Friday rather than Monday is a MUCH better idea! We ALL go off the wagon on the weekends, and it is too depressing to get on the scale on Monday. Make it easier on yourself, Girl! XO

Hi to you! I was trying to clear the air with J for a reason I'm not sure. Thanks for yor consideration.
Judy  From San Diego
Linda, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. I was clearing out the conversation because there was a lurker, and I was answering Greg's privacy question. I would never do that to you. XO

Hi LK, This is my first time visiting. I hope there is still something to drink in the fridge. I won't stay long, but thought I would share some peach wine. My hubby started making wine a couple of months ago and loves to share it. It's great for diets, too, because it lost all it's calories traveling through the internet. It's nice to put a face with your LK. I've started walking again to get back in shape and shoot for 10,000 a day(I heard on Oprah that that's the number to shoot for, anyways). I only did 3433 yesterday,..ug!.. I need to use the treadmill more with all the rain we've been having. Well, keep up the good work and thanks for helping motivate me. Good luck on your diet.
LD  From WA,USA

Water for me. I have volunteered to drive another couple as well as Steven

LK, The wine lables were really neat. As far as the scary family pic, not scary at all. A handsome group of folks. Remember, the family that plays together, stays together.
