Oh Sue! What a great close-up. We had one of these guys hanging around last week. I haven't seen it since. I believe we had the Mrs. too. She is quite as colorful. They are such beautiful birds. We started getting them when I went to a 2-cup hummingbird feeder. My husband bought me an Oriole feeder, but these silly birds prefer the hummingbird one. Go figure? Thanks for sharing!

Obviously, I see these all the time, it's the Maryland state bird. This looks like a young one.

Another great picture, Sue! I didn't realize you lived in a bird sanctuary!! I would be so thrilled to have so many pretty birds in MY yard. It's even great to see just their pictures. Thanks for sharing!
