Chatroom

I think it would be good to see from the main page as many people go in the chatroom and have missed people by just a few seconds. What do others think?

Maybe the status could just show how many are in there or just that there is someone there rather than who is there.

Now that I've read the idea, it makes sense. While in the chat room, this page was mentioned and I responded by asking if it made as much sense as calling your neighbor to ask if there was someone on your front porch pulling the bell rope.

a bell rope...now that is a good idea - no batteries needed.
André - you are a genius...but then you knew that already, one less click means - actually i don't know what it means, but it's almost as good as a bell rope...

Sounds like a good idea to me. I'm a bit reticent about going into the chat room but would feel better if I knew who was in there. Does that make sense or does it make me a wuss? Scary place to someone who has never been in a chat room (remember I AM old).

Gath, maybe a number in brackets next to the 'Chat' quick link at the top of page.
e.g. Home Archive Forum Chat(3) Shop ...
to indicate 3 are logged into the chat room

I have only been to the chatroom three times and no one there, just missed by a minute or so. It would be good to see if anyone was in there.

Jonjo, Gath has now done the suggested idea and when there are people in the chatroom it shows how many at the bottom of the page in brackets. Hope this helps you.

Well damn it, you kiss Fred and then you go ahead and swallow Todd! My friend Garfield would have done that for you but I wouldn't have allowed him to. Hopefully, Todd went through the plumbing swiftly and survived.
