Boy the page is slow to load today, took about 3 min for that message to go through, when 3 seconds is really slow for DSL , and it is JUST this site that is so slow, not my puter. I just do not understand. Hubby keeps telling me I just hit a slow server somewhere between here and there! often, I can close that page, reopen and send faster than waiting on it to send when it is so slow, so maybe he is right, this time

Huumm, How did I do that?? Cause noone was here for sure, that was a LONG post, plenty of time for someone to sneak in under the wire there.

Ya think I should take doen the 4th avatar and pack it away till next year? maybe by the weekend. I watched neighbors children shooting off a few fire crackers, many areil kinds were banned this year. cold not be sold, or brought in from elsewhere and shot, cause of the dry conditions!

Well, if this is going on for others, I can see why noone has posted, took 3 tries for that to up load! OK, I check back later, if this is working better.

Kind of slept in late, but really didn't get much sleep. Cloudy day, don't know if there will be any more rain.

Hi Stella. You haven't mossed much, its been a veeery quiet day in Sudokuland. A few hangovers stateside maybe!

No hangover here! We had a very quiet 4th. We played tennis for a couple of hours in the morning. Then it started raining so we just hung around the house doing nothing. Hubby barbequed in the rain and after dinner we played Cranium.

The kids were going to go across to neighbors house for bon fire and some fireworks(illegal here) but the oldest boy who has been best friends with D#1 since they were little was mean to D#1 so I didn't want them to go.

WHAT did he do? You tell D#1 that her 'aunties' will look after her. No neighbour boy's gonna bully one of our widdle chickadees!

No, the barby was not even close. I usually make macaroni and potato salad but I didn't, so we just had the leftover pasta salad from the spiedie dinner and french fries, cause it was a little chilly.

It was a good party wasn't it? I had aa absolute hoot! Couldn't eat another thing lol.

A few weeks ago D31 and NB(neighbor boy) went to a bon fire at a friend of his. When he got there he told D#1 that he didn't feel like driving back so they would have to stay there. She didn't know the owner of the house so she was not happy about being stuck. Another boy offered to give her a ride home so she took it. It turns out that the guy who gave her the ride after NB stranded her is not liked by NB because he went out with NB's old girlfriend after they broke up. NB told D#1 that she could not associate with him again. The boy called and asked her to the movies so she went because he is a nice guy and she actually doesn't like to be mean to anyone ever. Now NB told her yesterday that she was a b*tch and was not allowed to come to fireworks and that his mom and friends felt the same. She was crying so the others weren't allowed to go. Sorry, didn't mean for it to be a long story.

Up where I live everyone is taking their campers or going to their camps. The roads are full of them. But in the winter you don't see them up here, but I imagine you would probably still see them in the south.

Went to oldest SIL's for a cookout. We overate and are still full. I don't even want to think about food. Read yours got rained out. Bummer.

I feel there are 2 types of friends. There are good-weather ones and then there are ones who will be there through thick and thin.

The NB seems to have become the first type. He would not have taken D#1 and then refused to take her home just because he was having fun at the party. He could have went back.

OR, maybe he more than likes D#1 and is jealous that she has shown interest in someone else.

Just a thought from someone who has been in a similar situation.
