Stella, Glad to help...the waterfall came from 'myspace', if you click on my picture...it will take you to the site. You don't have to register to do this. On the left hand side, click 'animated' (2nd from top), then click 'nature' and make your selections.Once you choose, copy the html addy, and paste it in the white area where you print stuff on your update page, similar to the way we do the 'you tubes',....sometimes you need to do something different to get it on your page...it may sound hard, but it really is easy, you just may need someone to walk you through it like Nancy did me. Try, I think you will enjoy learning...I did!
I'll help if you need to have me walk you through it! Anyone else who is interested, let me know.

Hi Mary and Rola, lovely rain but a wee bit windy, today we are burning the skirts off the grass trees (bush fire hazard reduction). Can only do it when it is raining. How are you both?

We are fine. Mary that is just the weather we need, as long as it is very wet the fires won't get out of control. If it is not wet the flames go about 15ft up in the air! Today we are working under trees. Will your 19 year old lend you his new book? Rola did your 18 year old have a celebration after work?

Lost a nice post here. Resorting to copying them first now.

I was asking about what are these skirts you are removing or burning or whatever.

Hello MisTricia, haven't spoken to you for ages. All is well I hope. I will get a photo but in the meantime try www.grasstree.com/ It shows several sorts. As they grow they form a huge skirt of highly flamable dead matter, so we burn it during the winter to avoid a major fire in the summer. Mary don't they realise who feeds them?!

Lynda, no birthday boy did not celebrate after work, it was about 9.45pm when he got home from work.
We have a family Lunch tomorrow with the 2 grandmothers.
He is planning on doing something with his friends, only he has done anything about it yet

Hopefully not too spectacular, that is why we only burn them when it is wet! It is quite terrifying to see them go up during a wildfire.

Rola how rotten having to work so late on his birthday. Enjoy your lunch tomorrow. Miztricia there used to be thousands of the grasstress in and around Perth, unfortunately they have suffered as the suburbs moved out. There are some around here up to eight foot high. We also have zamia palms which are direct decendents of those from the time of the dinosaurs.
