Anyone around? I'm bed bound with a snivelling nose, but at least the coughing has stopped.

Am just about to pop out to the shops for some ingredients for tonight's dinner. Should have got them while I was out today but, well... Tonight's dinner is Minestrone Soup and some crusty bread, nice and easy.
Was just passing through before I headed off and saw that you were still under the weather. I'm glad to hear the coughing has stopped, that can be the most distressing part about it. Will catch you a bit later dino.

Hi, Dino. It's cool and damp, which, in light of the drought, is wonderful. Have you been able to keep up with your knee rehab in spite of your cold? Can't let one end down just for the other.

I understand that you Aussies are no strangers to a lack of rain. Of course, the warmth of spring and being able to get out of the house is great, too.

Been to the physio yesterday. She battered my poor leg saying it was doing me good. Actually it was, but it didn't feel like it. There are muscles in my leg which haven't been used properly for a loooooong time. So I now have a new set of exercises. I was terrified at first that it would be painful, but of course, the painful part has been replaced by metal. So now I have renewed confidence in my rehab.... that is, when I'n not sneexing or coughing or feeling sorry for myself!

Spring gardening is more preferable than fall yard work. In the spring you are preparing for the future beauty and enjoyment your garden will provide. In the fall you're putting things to bed or (worse) doing them for the nth time. I'll have to mow the grass again soon, and a ton of leaves have fallen. Luckily, I have a mulching mower that chews the leaves up to nothing. No raking, hehe.

Rolanda, we're meant to be getting hot and dry here tomorrow, so part of my sneezing may be the north wind bringing the pollens down. They've started cutting hay which is bad news for me.

Sneezing and coughing will pass. Your knee will still be there and you have to walk. After all, who will let Merlin out?

I read that the wattle (?), which I thought was gorgeous, is a real bugger for those with allergies.

It feeeeels like the cold will last forever! I've run out of tissues and into the toilet roll! But I've got the fire going and Merlin is fed, so the world has not yet collapsed in a heap.

I always told the kids at school to go into the medical professions. We baby boomers are getting old and need people to pound our knees and pay Social Security (government old-age pensions).

Ruby, you heard right about the wattle. Also ti-tree which is looking particularly beautiful at the moment with masses of little white flowers is no good for me, but worst of all is rye grass, which of course was introduced by my ancestors.

By the way, the whits dots in my walk-the-dog smilie is ti-tree blossom. hahahaha... i found it in the net. I think the artist had a different idea to me.

With my last bout of allergy-sinus-bronchitis I took a new otc product, Mucinex, which worked pretty well on the cough.

Last year dino, the ground was covered in gum tree pollen, the ground was yellow with it. Today as I was driving down to my son's work, there were large white fluffy things floating in the air!
Hi Ruby.

Rolanda, I don't take pics of the untidy parts of the garden! But it is nice to see all that growth and to be able to share the beauty. I treated myself to a 6.2 megapix camera which is selling now for $130, so some of the pics were my trying it out.

Haven't heard of Mucinex, Ruby. I have taken antihistamines and cortisone and my nose is still dripping at a rapid rate. but as you all keep telling me, it won't last forever.
