Gail, they say that the pollen you can see is not the pollen that triggers reaction. In the spring our oak and pine trees make so much pollen that it looks like yellow swarming clouds. It sticks to cars, yard furniture and the porch floor but it doesn't bother me at all.

I take Claritin, too, for the allergies. When your reaction is really bad there's not much you can do but drip. I feel for you.

Dino, Stevenage is about 30 miles north of London. The original New Town built after the war to house Londoners who were bombed in the blitz, though it was a very old coaching town they extended it and now it is being extended all the time. At present we live on the very edge of town, but if the planners get their way we will be surrounded by new houses
