Being a 100 miles away makes it easier. We're bringing the meat. Everyone else is bringing a covered dish.

There is nobody local and I don't know the families from his class well enough to ask. He's the only one from his elementary school to go there and he doesn't play with any of them because they live too far away. So far he doesn't seem to mind everyone leaving. It might be a different story when he realizes that he has our undivided attention!

Well, I hate to desert you, but all of a sudden I am exhausted. It must be because I was looking at my comfy bed. Hope you have a good night's rest Becky. If you're not too busy getting ready, maybe I'll catch you tomorrow! Good night!

Sorry I haven't popped in for a few days. Been a bit tired for a few days so have had a few early nights, which I have quite enjoyed, if truth be told! Just thought I'd poke my head in and say . I'm off to do the easy puzzel, then another early night.
Have a great day/night.

MAMAcieta, here is my answer for #2, written before I read past your questioning my where abouts. Thanks for your vote of confidence, and No I do not always get brin teasers right!! Could #2 be CUT?

as a cut of beef, or to cut a calf from the herd?

Stella, we have some good brains here that do not think in the box, so I think we should decide now, your brain twisters are not like a sudoku puzzle with only one answser. Maybe we should list all that fit the deffinitions and then vote which is the best, which is the most common in usage and which is the most obscure of the ones that do fit hehehe. but it is your game, Stella, you get to make the rules

Good morning all! Good morning MizT! Late start for me this morning, somehow slept in! As to the teasers, they are from a page calendar that gives a new brain teaser a day. I don't know if technically there is only one answer (this is Mensa after all), but some of the guesses given seem good to me. We can come up with as many as we want and then I'll give their answer if you like. Ian had the right answer by the way, "part" and "sort" and Mama gave the third one "stern."

Ian is very good at finding answers. Now tell the truth Ian, did you go to visit Mr Google to ask his advice??

Having a talent for searching the interent and FINDING the correct answer is not to be laughed at, you know, and it is not "cheating" but wondering if you got that off the top of your head.

STELLA, I like the idea of getting as many answers as fit the teaser, myself. It seems that the sudoku is working with our members, have trained the brain cells of our members to THINK.
