It's interesting that you have "hair" sheep, eaa. So do we. I prefer the Katahdin/Barbados/Moufflin strains (super resistant to everything) and IH likes the Dorper.

The coy dog and his pack are still terrorizing the neighborhood. Fortunately, they're leaving our farm alone now since their favorite food source left and they ate most of my poultry. In a year or 2, I'll probably buy back some of my ewes and start again.

Most of my sheep were purchased by IH and his cousin together and kept on his cousin's farm. I visit them once in a while.

Hope you can keep those terrors away from your 'exotic' collection of birds Heidi.

Heidi, he is a black headed ram.

There are only small flocks of sheep in our council area [Hobby farms] and even less shearer.

my O.F can shear but is getting too long in the tooth, to want to do it.

So hair sheep is the way to go.

A cousin of mine farms the sheep, O.F and I butcher them.

Now things to do, places to go. [laundry] LOL

The black headed ones are more attractive, in my opinion.
