Good Morning from down under. A little girl crwled into bed at 2am and I did not get back to sleep so I think I will be like a zombie today.
Nola sorry about your dog. I know what it is like.
Stella, busy with family as always. Hope the back/butt is getting better.
Mariana, hope you family are soon better and you need a 'Mum's Taxi" sign for your car today.

JUNE, I think Stella needs to share her TAXI avatar with Mariana. I made one for Stella back yonder when we just started smilies and avatars!

I'm awake again!!!

Just fed the machine... no clothes to wear again. It's impossible to keep on top of "stuff" when I sleep so much.

Nola..... your dog will let you know when it's time. Quality of life is all-important. The kindest thing one can do for a much loved pet is to not allow them to suffer when there is no hope. This is a time when you need to think of what's in the pets best interest, not on how much you will miss them. It is very hard to do. Here are some to help. I've been through this MANY times.

Reminiscing about real Xmas trees.... I love the smell they bring into the house! But...

Back in 1994 we moved into a house next door to a fire fighter. He saw us bringing home our real tree and told us stories about all of the tree fires he had attended...

We ended up buying an artificial tree in the after Xmas sales and have been using it ever since. It is an impressive artificial tree, though a little less so now than it was all those years ago, BUT it doesn't SMELL like a real tree... Sob.

No nap today Tricia. Girl will be in daycare but a busy day in other ways. We also now have MIL in hospital but I will not be able to visit her today, that will be up to Hubby. I will probably go and play lawn bowls as a distraction.

HH, I washed about 6 loads this weekend - and didn't do sheets and towels! Ebob took the clothes off the line while I was walking and I didn't fold them until the next day - which meant I had to iron a lot of them. Took me the whole of the first Lord of the Rings movie to get them done!

Despite the possible danger (EVERYTHING in life can be dangerous), I will NOT have an artificial tree. I love the look and smell of a real tree. It's fun having a different variety of Pine or Fir every year, and I love the scent. They sell fake pine tree scent, but it smells like chemicals to me. When the holidays are over, the tree is great for use in erosion control, or for chipped for mulch.

Mama Mia! Mariana, I hope things slow down a bit for you today...

BTW - I don't wear makeup much anymore and probably wouldn't bother for the day you described. This even though my eyelashes are so pale you can't see them (I call it my rabbit look) and my skin is old-age blotchy! I have no self respect!!!

HH I tried the fake tree smell ONCE. It was disgusting!

I have thought about growing a tree in a pot and bringing it inside for Xmas every year..

To have a fresh Christmas tree in Australia you need to buy it on about Christmas Eve . The hot weather means it does not last very long and you soon have a mess of needles everywhere. I did get some fresh ones when I was younger and did not mind cleaning up afterwards.
Suzy, you need to buy your potted tree in the middle of the year. They charge trice as much for them around Christams time.

SS...... I have bought balled trees, and, after the holidays, planted them outside. The difficulty is in acclimating them to the temperature change from inside to outside. I wait for a warm spell to do it. I have only done this a few times because of all the extra work, and stress on the back.

Morning Suzy and June!
Welcome from your nap, HH!
June - sorry you didn't get enough sleep - that always feels like a hangover to me.

Enjoy your bowls, June...I wouldn't be able to do that with loss of sleep, but then again, activity often helps refresh me.
Just got done with my workout - not getting much done today. Need to go out and wheel firewood from the stock pile to the house. Hope we get to have a fire soon...love it!

I might as well go move the Hay Hauler. I need to have it near an electrical outlet in a couple of hours. Having some bolt holes drilled, and bolts added for stability.
