June - sorry you didn't sleep well, take care. BTW, agree with June about having real Xmas trees in Australia's summer - doesn't work out as well, unfortunately, because there's nothing like the scent of a real one.

I am not here but just got my latest electricity bill and I am fuming, so couldn't think of a better way to calm down before I tackle the daily chores!

June, so very sorry to hear about your MIL. I do hope she is ok, I know you have been 'looking after her' while your SIL is away.

Right! Well I have caught up and I see that Nola's dog has not yet crossed over the Rainbow Bridge but we all sympathise. It is a terribly hard time but it is the kindest thing to do.
We all know how close my old cat Scrap has been to that long sleep, but somehow, he seems to find his legs every time I make that hard decision! How many reprieves has he had now?

The birthday from h*ll!
Last night with the whole family was how it usually is...trying! It seems they need to out-loud and out-gross each other! I was so pleased when they had finished eating and we could leave the restaurant. Then of course, we went back to my son and pseudo DIL's house for the cake cutting...that couldn't end soon enough for me either!
BTW The pav was FANTABULOUS!

Hi RolaDahlia - pleased the weather is cooler today - only 21C here at the moment but storms expected later.
Going to the movies to see 'Burn after Reading'. Anyone seen it? I love Coen Bros movies usually, so hope this doesn't disappoint.

I'm gonna do a few puzzles while waiting for IH to return with the pizza.
I did find a great smilie to vent my frustrations with. It might get overused, tho'.

Dont have to pick mum up today, my niece is picking her up, and bringing her back to my place.
They will be heading for the airport, my sister and her husband (niece's parents, and Mum's #1 daughter) arrive back from their overseas trip this afternoon.
So I will get to see my 2 Gr Nieces and baby Gr Nephew!! Lots of cuddles coming up !!

Just reminded me Gail, I think I saw my electricity bill pass through the door (one of the girls brought the mail in) but don't know what happened to it! I don't think I want to know at the moment - brakes on one of the cars are sounding a bit wonky....

Woo hoo! Email from hubby.. His department is shutting down over Xmas again this year - 2 weeks. Yay! He has more than enough accumulated holidays to cover it.
