I didn't realize we were near the bottom of the page. I've been jumping back and forth between this site and a game I was playing.

East is east and west is west
And the wrong one I have chose
Let's go where I'll keep on wearin'
Those frills and flowers and buttons and bows
Rings and things and buttons and bows
Don't bury me in this prairie
Take me where the cement grows
Let's move down to some big town
Where they love a gal by the cut o' her clothes
And I'll stand out
In buttons and bows
I'll love you in buckskin
Or skirts that I've homespun
But I'll love ya' longer, stronger where
Yer friends don't tote a gun
My bones denounce the buckboard bounce
And the cactus hurts my toes
Let's vamoose where gals keep usin'
Those silks and satins and linen that shows
And I'm all yours in buttons and bows
Gimme eastern trimmin' where women are women
In high silk hose and peek-a-boo clothes
And French perfume that rocks the room
And I'm all yours in buttons and bows

Well, I hate to love you and leave you, but it's pumpkin time here. (And I don't mean Halloween.) I have another early morning tomorrow for another acupuncture appointment tomorrow. Enjoy the rest of your day, DUGs, and Good Night to everyone else who needs to head to bed. Night, All!

Have to tell you all
was watching a documentary earlier today
called "animal lifeline'
they were saving some sunbears in Thailand, these bears had been cooped up in cages with no sunlight at all, in a market place for many years.
to see them in the wide open spaces and walking on grass for the first time in their lives was very powerful to see,
they also rescued some orphaned gibbons that eventually paired up and will probably be together for life, Great show

I'm baaaaack! Abruptly lost the ability to post again late last night. Got Son #1 onto it, and it turns out it's an ISP problem. Trouble is it all works fine during the time tech support is open.

RolaDahlia, you left out something very important about when you win lotto, flying to San Fran etc. I believe you meant to put "Fly to Qld, pick up Susan (all expenses paid), then fly to SF. Would sooooo love to go there again.

Bean, Son #1 is a rare young man. Seriously, I don't say this to be immodest, but he's one of those children that any parent would love to have. Kind, considerate, reliable, honest, hard working ... I can't think of enough good things to say about him. I was truly blessed. He can pay cash for his car, from part time jobs he's had over the past 4 years, as he's a great saver, but we would help towards running expenses, as I believe it's our responsibility as his parents to support him until he finishes his studies. (He pays for his social expenses but). In the end, hubby and I said he could buy the 2 airbag car that he's fallen in love with, but he decided not to, as he didn't feel right buying something that he knew we didn't feel comfortable with.

Troublemaker, I really love your Friday avatar, one of the best, if not the best, on the whole site. It fits your name and nature so well.
I also loved the autumn leaves avatars....and snowflakes in Florida?????

OK. I take my responsibility for keeping the conversation going very seriously. What else can I tell you? Went to the city today with hubby. He visited his dad in care. I shopped, but only got in about 30 minutes. 3 pairs of shorts, 2 fancy t-shirts, and 2 bags was pretty good. I saved hubby heaps since they were all on special.

Speaking of 'heaps', I only found out that was an Aussie word this year, when Son told me that the American students at his uni think it's the funniest word.

Someone had better stop me. This is going to get ugly, but we have to do everything in life once, a wise person once told me.
