Stella - poor Stella's butt! Yay Brendan playing soccer finally, and the Cheesecake Factory is my favourite restaurant - 'cause that was where hubby and I went on our first date.

June - I will probably not find out until next year what happened with Mel's hand. She goes to her own doctor in a few days and might end up just like your D1. I was amazed to see her show up to every game, although she watched from the sidelines. There is a reason athletes are admired....

Hi All, looks like I will have to miss out on reading everything I have missed, too many pages.
Hope everyone is well or recovering if they have been unwell. If I have missed any birthdays I sincerely apologise and hope that the days went happily.
Work, visiting hospitals (for Celia) and renovations are taking all my time at the moment. Two of those distractions will be coming to an end in the near future, unfortunately Celia has contracted a C. Dif infection so I still don't know how long she is going to be in hospital.
Hoping to get back into life on SA6 soon as I miss you all

We've been off to Port Macquarie, Viv's home town, so Ebob could play baseball for the weekend. She had a great time! She played 3 out of 6 games, which is fantastic for her as she hasn't played as much as many of the other players. It is a women's team and she is only 15. And she hasn't played this year as we just didn't feel up to the extra driving it would have taken as there is no local competition....

Oh sounds fun for Ebob, hope the rest of you had an enjoyable time too

Phew!!!!! Thought Gail had broken the site again and I was the only one who could post.

We did Brenda. Ally didn't complain once about sitting through the games, even though it was hot and sticky the first day and cold and wet the second. We rewarded her with her one request - a visit to a shop!

Trip Anecdote Warning!
Because we left booking until the last minute, we ended up in a camp ground in the middle of nowhere for the weekend in a dreadful caravan. Regardless of that we managed to have a great weekend, with some eye opening experiences which made me glad that circumstances had led us there.

This campground had several permanent residents who ranged from an elderly gentleman who had built a wooden cage around his caravan and car and had the most beautiful garden which he carefully raked, watered and weeded every morning... to a young mother with children who got their breakfast from the coke machine and the lolly/candy pile in the office.

A man delivered a box of fruit from his brother's orchard and another mother collected a bag of that fruit for her children. I ran into her as we were checking out and gave her our perishables. No way would they have survived the trip home and I was glad I ran into her so she ended up with them...

The showers were spotless, the grounds were cared for by residents with disabilities (and they did a great job), all organised by a man who claimed to have ether in his veins - yeah right!

Well Suzy, a friend of mine went down to Philip Island from Bris, bought a tent stayed for the GP and left yesterday, they were not planning on bringing the stuff back and gave it to a guy who had been sleeping in his 4WD all weekend. prid quo pro

Well I'm falling asleep at the keyboard so I will call it a night....

That's amazing Broni! Because we ended up in a place we wouldn't have if we'd booked early (Would have been closer to Ebob), we saw a different side of life that we didn't know about. It challenges your life view!
