Hi everybody... I'm rejoining the living for a little bit. The pain from the epidural is easing up, and I've nearly slept round the clock. The depression has lightened up a bit, too.

Broni ... I'm worried about that infection. Please harass the doctors 'til they find the source and stop it.

Nicky... Don't stress about that one 2 faced loser. If anyone is foolish enough to listen to her, have them talk to some of your satisfied clients for the truth. But I do believe that others will consider the source as well. She has to be getting a bad reputation. Just don't sink to her level. And have no contact with her. No good will come of that. Only more stress for you. You can't reason with lunatics.

No you didn't. I'm still here. Just in lurking mode.

The epidural is for pain management. When I was 20, I broke my back, but nobody believed me that it was broken, so it went untreated. I now have fairly serious permanent damage.

yeah, i'm in lurking mode too. back issues scare me. benny has a broken pars interarticularis on his L4 vertebrea. i guess it isn't bad unless it hurts (which it does at times.) is your back always this painful or does it come and go?

mariannnnnnna, the epidurals work miracles. For 2 and 1/2 months after each one, with the help of pain meds and anti-inflamatories, I can lead a mostly comfy, normal-ish life. One the epidural wears off though.... It's h*ll. Then I actually black out from the pain if I'm on my feet for more than 10 minutes. Once the shots stop working altogether, I'll have to have surgery. I want to delay it as long as possible 'cause there's a particular surgery I'd like to have, but it is still in the experimental stages.

Does anybody know why Rolanda is now Dahlia?

Dahlias are incredible flowers, but I keep thinking of "The Black Dahlia", and it gives me a creepy feeling. I don't know if any of you DUGs are familiar with that extremely gruesome, unsolved murder. Early days of Hollywood.

Heidi, glad the epodural is helping, to bad it has to hurt fore it gets better. Hopefully these will continue to give relief till the new and improved surgery is perfected and approved.

marianna, always diet colas here, might not be the COCA COLA brand, but will a Sam's or Diet Rite do? Happen to have both of those in fridge and an orange, and a Sprite. Nothing with sugar here unless we know we are having guests. OH, do you need caffeine? ours are the de caf type.

Heidi, is your cold any better? you just do not need to keep adding and adding more medical stuff you know.

Seems I am here alone and it is too far to try for another TOPPs, so I am off to slumberland. In case I am not online in the AM, depends on how early I get up, I have an 8 oclock appointment. would someone put on the coffee for me please??

The cold is over, thank goodness. It really conflicted with the Mono, and wouldn't let me sleep, 'cause I couldn't breathe. Now if the Mono would just go away..............
