Just stopping by in my jammies...Mike's sis and BIL are coming up today to celebrate Deb's (Mike's sis) b'day. Made a yummy carrot cake for the occasion.

When I return this evening I should be singing to you all - not because I figured out the musical note key thingy (Gath told me he couldn't do it from his keyboard, either)...but because our wonderful MzT created something for me so I can sing with Rolanda and others!

CynB - no chickens in my dreams last night...pretty sure Lee cooked them all up!

Becky - what a hoot reading all your posts! I live in an area of the Sierras referred to as Peardale. Lots of orchards (peaches and apples, too). I made Pearbutter and Pear chutney for Christmas gifts last year, too! I'm gonna go that route again this year. Everyone enjoyed it, it was economical and also great fun.

Thought I'd pull up a chair since I busy posting right now - anyone around to join me???

My favorite B thriller was "Blood Beach" - it came out right after Jaws and the trailer said, "Now that it's safe to go in the water, you can't get there!" OOOOOOOOOOOw

I was talking to myself for awhile here this morning, Rena - I'll have to get going soon, too...but glad we could hook up!

It is always a pleasent surprise to find someone else here.

I know - usually I'm alone in the mornings here...sometimes MzT is on, but I'm thinking she is sleeping in cause she was up in the middle of the night.

I'm about ready to head out to mow the lawn and hose off the deck - what are you up to today, Rena?

MizT gets here way before I get up. I haven't been on in the evening for a while. I usually get to chat with the Aussie's then.

I need to get some housework done today before it gets crazy busy here. Lots of visiting kids this month.

Are they headed back to school soon? Kid in our hood go back mid August - Summers aren't what they were in my day!

One of Amber's friends first then cousins. At least they won't all be staying at my house.

Amber is homeschooled and we have been working all July because of our trip in November.

I think the homeschooling is fabulous - know lots of families in these parts who do it, also.

I'm awake early today as hubby woke up and was worried that I had fallen asleep watching TV so smacked me in the stomach to see if I was there ... hmmmm

Broni, I can't remember the book name (might be Twilight), but it is the Stephenie Meyer vampire stories for teen readers. The first one is being made into a movie. They call her the next JK Rowling.

MizT, it was sort of a coincidence. I had just read an exerpt of the next Stephenie Meyer book online and noticed the Bella name thing. I had a giggle about it, came to post a note to Broni, and saw she was online too. So, I did know she was around, but was going to post anyway.

We're off to Berkeley today so ebob can try out for the Illawarra women's baseball team. Last night she said she didn't want to go but had a funny look on her face. I said, okay but let's talk about it because if you're not going I want it to be for the right reasons. Turns out she's feeling unfit. We said she has 8 weeks to train and we would help, did that make a difference? And we're off!
