Suzy, I did not mean that you had offended anyone. That little bit was just some of what I used to say to bullies when I had to discipline them at school. Bullies tend to fall into two categories. Some actually think that they are better than everyone else and some are very insecure themselves. In either case, they felt better when they knocked their target down. Hence, I offered them my little bonne mot many times and in many forms during our discussions.
My afore mentioned post was intended for Ally, and I should have addressed it as such.

Bullies have bullied (progressively usually) all their lives and they have practiced their craft. In basketball it's the guy who pushes back who gets called for the foul. If Ally decides to respond to the bullying, she needs to remember that she's not as experienced in escaping detection as her opponent. Let her call someone the b-word (in response, of course), and every teacher in town will hear it.

I burn wood in an open fireplace in the winter. Because of its construction and positioning it warms the whole house and the heat pump hardly ever comes on.

Well, I'm pretty pooped from bustling around getting everything ready for our guests - we enjoyed seeing them so much. Ate dinner out on the deck - such a balmy, quiet evening in the trees with the birds flitting around.
My SIL had her hip replaced about 6 months ago and is doing great! You don't realize how much of your life you're missing until you get back to it!

Broni - good to hear you are feeling better and better.
MzT - looked at your gallery today and saw your fabulous domes. I'll send you some shots of our construction soon.

Haven't done an awful lot so far today. A couple of loads of wash, cooked brunch of waffles and hubby and I did a little gardening. We replaced a diosma that was not doing very well and moved some ferns that had cropped up around the same area. Now a lazy arvo here for a while then dinner later. Not the roast, having that tomorrow night, probably the chicken satay wraps.

Becky, your fruit butters sound yummy. Your description of the topping over the plums in your cobbler remind me of the topping I use for apples in apple crisp. It sounds good!
From reading a few pages, it seems Gail is doing unmentionable stuff, Stella is in Smugglers, Lee used one of CynB's cyber chickens in her Spanish Chicken Hotpot, Brenda & hubby are celebrating an anniversary, CynB is selling something, and June has been at bowls and is making rice salad for 100, and Broni wonders what book has Bella as a main character. Hello to everyone who has visited here today.

What and where is the "friends currently on-line" box? It looks like I really need to find time to read the past few days of Easy to find out what I'm missing.

Gday Julie, I am happily here to answer your queries.
The 'friends currently online' box is to the right of the screen, below the 'birthdays' box.

To add anyone to your 'friends' list, go to their page and click on the 'Add ___ as a friend' link, and they will be sent a message. They can then accept or decline as they see fit.

If someone has sent you a request, at the very top right, the word 'Friends' will be highlighted with a number next to it. Click on that and the request will be there.
You also click on that link whenever you want to view/review your friends list.

Once you have sent an add request on someones page, and they have accepted you, the 'add' link will disappear from their page.
Once someone has added you to their list, you do not need to request to be added to their list, it is automatic.
