Suzy, please give Ally a big hug from me. I know how she feels. The best advice I can give (which isn't much) is to tell Ally to let it roll off like water on a duck's back. I've found after going to a couple of class reunions, that these very same people aren't very happy. I'd bet my last dollar that they weren't happy back then and just wanted to make someone else miserable.

Ally is doing a lot better today. It helps that it's the weekend! Next week will be the test... will they harass her because I came to the school??? But we've talked a lot so I think (hope) she'll be fine.

It must be late where you are. It's still the middle of the day here and I really should be feeding the machine. Decided to take a break and warm up first. It was cold and windy at netball and even my woollen coat didn't warm me up!

She probably will be. Just talking to someone about it helps. I always liked what my boss in college told me, "While they're talking about me, they're leaving everyone alone."

(This is a repeat message from the previous page for those who don't go back to read what they missed.) Hello to all of my SA FRIENDS! The last few months have been a bit crazy here. Once in a while I think I might find a few minutes and get caught up, but after this long, I'm afraid that's hopeless. We were away for a bit, have had computer troubles off and on (more ON than off), were blessed by a new granddaughter, have had months of sciatica, physical therapy for my knees, waiting until mid-September for back specialist appointment, started seeing an acupuncturist to try to get some relief from the worsening sciatica (both legs now), hubby got sciatica and is now in physical therapy, and have had visitors. I think that's most of what's happened. I have missed all of you SO MUCH. I'm hoping to get back here (at least occasionally) in August, but don't have much hope for the coming week. GREAT BIG SUDOKU HUGS TO ALL OF YOU!

MizT, I make apple butter each fall to give as Christmas presents. I also make pear and peach butter. When I run out of jars, I freeze the extra. Once it's thawed, just give it a good stir.

Have you ever made plum "cobbler?" Not sure of the right name (plums on the bottom, topped with butter, brown sugar and rolled oats).

Hope your test results come back clean. Had the same procedure a few years ago (including the barium), no fun. Was awake the entire time (no pain or discomfort), then my big mistake was eating a seafood chimichanga right after. Talk about a race with the devil.

When reading your post about the squash, thought of the old "B" horror movies. Even came up with a few names, "Attack of the Oozing Squash" or "The Squash That Wouldn't Die."

Gosh, I don't visit for about 24 hours and you fill up 5 or 6 pages, dream about and then cook up my chickens - never mind there's more where they come from. Hubby says he can drop a truckload anywhere you want but it must be within the next 2 weeks and they will be dead but not plucked or cleaned - okay??

The hook-up to wireless broadband was hopeless - being returned on Monday. We are in an area that doesn't get a strong enough signal - soooooo slow!! Back on ADSL.

That's funny CynB. We usually have chooks (none at the moment) and hubby talks about getting a rooster so we can make our own chicken meat. I laughed and said that would be fine if either of us was up to killing, plucking and cleaning! Too soft! Okay to eat dead animals, so long as someone else does the deading.

becky, I thought of a real B movie, THE BLOB I think that is the right name, but it just moved around by ooozing! fridge door is firmly closed now, I checked, and squash is solidly frozen, so problem solved, freeser and fridge both at correct temp.

BECKY, thanks for the correct name of the lake that Cleveland is on. My northern geography is not great, I did good to get it on a lake in Northern Ohio and I could have found it on a map hehe, BTW, very good to see you back on the page, I have been missing you and thinking about you,

I got a message from Julie, she could not find how to accept friends requests, and said will not have computer time the next couple of weeks, so asked me to say she wants to be friends and will figure it out later, she is not ignoring you if you have made the request of her friendship. I did try to explain how to do it in answer to her message, so maybe she can find the page soon.
