Julie - internet woes are a bummer. we went from DSL to dial up when we moved to the mountains. we JUST got DSL about 6 months ago and are very close to the "hub" - a dream come true!

Vici, we are about as far as can be down the line on our DSL, and at times i want to toss it. Befoere that, we had satelite, and it was never as fast as advertised. They had this policy, if you started USINg it, they turned your speed down! Hubby needed it for uploading and downloading files for business.

CP stands for Cereal post, a play on the word serial, and by definition, it is 5 uninterupted posts in a row

Folks tell us our DSL isn't that fast (I guess broadband is quicker - but not available where we are in the boonies) - I tell you, after almost 6 years of dial-up, this sure seems fast to me!

CP stands for serial posting - usually 5 posts by the same person in a row. CP had some cereal box avatars, so it became "cereal post," if I remember correctly. Anyway, I believe it stands for the 5 posts with no interruptions by comments from anyone else.

Some people were GREATLY offended by someone doing a CP.

I think there were comments about bandwidth hogging, etc. One of the persons who complained no longer posts here, I believe, because didn't want to become a member - even unpaid.

NO FOAM, I drink half decaf with skim and no foam. but an enmpty cup is fine. We call that heafty handle a 4 finger handle here, good for arthritic fingers.

Everyone seems so light hearted and easy going here...although I wouldn't want to really abuse the CP thingy...thanks for the clear explanations!

Nothing like being picky is there? but all our cups are the four finger kind, untill I started new meds, I really needed them. and room enough for 4 fingers makes for a large mug hehe,
