CynB, I know what you went through for Due Diligence, the company I work for are going through it at the moment. The way I describe the process is a saying my late grandmother used to use. It is a bit rude so I will use asterix so I wont be put on the naughty step.
'They want to know the far end of a f**t and where it came from'.... but for me that wasn't enough as they seemed to want to know everything and then needed to know everything again. Not a pleasant experience at all.

Sorry I missed you Vici, hope you enjoyed the walk. My daughter has just taken Callie out for a walk to the Vet to get her annual jabs. I am stuck at a desk working so I can get up to date before going on holiday

Gail, I'm sure that you would get through more than one case of bubbly (I'm not trying to suggest that YOU would get through it alone..... )

OK... latest excuse for not going to get checked out:
Last night we lost our water. I think it's the switch on the pressure tank (hope it's not the pump itself). Knowing that I was planning on going to the Hospital, my idiot husband woke me up this morning to tell me that he spoke to the plumber, who will be stopping by sometime this morning. And he (idiot husband) was leaving to go meet some people, so I have to wait here for the plumber. I know I promised to go this morning. At least I'm feeling a little better than yesterday.
Oh, and MizTricia, thanks for the offer of a name avatar, but I think I prefer critters.

Heidi, I must have missed what your problem has been, but you have been warned we NAG. If there is something wrong and has been for a while it would be better just to have a check up just to be on the safe side. It would be better to find out asap if there is a problem and have it put right than just to leave it and it get worse. End of NAG for this post

Heidi, Idiot husbands seem to be in overabundance this season! Espically when it comes to health matters, thier own or wife's health.

I have had a few issues with mine. I have learned to give him "I need you" kinds of messages, those seem to work best at the moment hehe, no telling what will be best next week! In your situation todaay I might have said, I need you to make other arrnangements about the plumber, as I am going to the hospital to have this checked!

Do you think sometimes they just do not think ? Or are thinking about so many things at once, a wife's problems get sort of lost in the clutter?

Glad you feel a little better, hope you to feel a LOT better and soon!

I do like your critter avatars, they seem so you.

My idiot husband woke me up this morning, made the announcement and left, before I was awake enough to respond. He knew what he was doing. It would never occur to him to put anyone else's needs or wants before his own. THAT'S why we have no children. At least human ones.

Good Maen, all! Mind if I help myself to some of MizT's coffee? I've brought some peach coffee care to share.

HEIDI! What are you doing here? I hope the plumber gets there soon so you can get yourself to ER.

Try making it with milk! I love a cup of coffee made purely with milk, it actually helps me to sleep rather than keep me awake as normal coffee does late at night.

Heidi and Rose to SA5, hope you come often.

Heidi, now get to the doctor as soon as the plumber leaves and get yourself better. The longer you put it off, the longer it will take for you to get back up to par. As for the water, buy a couple of jugs at the store on the way home if need be.

Rose, the only rule I know is that you have to leave a trail of bread crumbs so that you find your way back.

Finally, I'm able to get back here. Saturday we changed our tv cable co. and now have everything (cable, phone and internet) with a new service. We now have over 200 channels (includes music) and wireless internet (no more cable for my laptop) for less than $5. more a month. Got our WEP set up so no one can highjack our connection or get into our computers.

Went to visit my sister Sunday and must have eaten too much. Was so tired on the way back, I leaned my seat back thinking that a nap would do me just fine. Everytime I dozed off, I'd snork and wake myself up. The second time, sat back up, looked at hubby and he's sitting there with this goofy grin.

Love all the new "names," really perks up the page.

Suzy, we didn't cook up the whole frog, just it's legs (no skin). Have only found one restaurant that could cook them right and they closed. If you want, I'll send you a cartoon about frogs that I have. Just send me your addy in personal messages.
Good news on the results of your test.
BTW, if I was in your situation, more than likely would have told that girl's mother to blow it out her ditty bag. But, you were probably more dipolomatic than me. Either way, happy to hear that Ally's doing better.

Broni, adding my voice to the chorus. Take care and don't overdo it.

Vici, tell Mike to get to the doctor and get the surgery over with. My sister had carpal tunnel surgery on both wrists at the same time. She was able to take care of the more sensitive stuff without help. But, then she's bull-headed like me.

MizT, good news. I need to have that done, but am putting it off till fall. Way too many irons in the fire right now.

Rena, sounds like everything's falling into place for your trip. If your like me, you'll probably start making lists.

CynB, I can relate to your movie experience. A couple of month's after my MIL died, talked hubby into going to see "Phenomenon." Felt so bad for him at the end, all I could do is hold his hand and say, "I'm sorry, I didn't know."

Becky, you seem to be very pleased with your new tv/phone/internet service. Hopefully it will be trouble free from now on.
We leave on Saturday for a couple of weeks away. I may still be able to post a few odd comments if I ask my daughter nicely to use her Iphone, so I may be able to keep up with some of the chatter on here, if not then I will have at least a full day having to read everything.

HI BECKY, hope the new internet means you can drop in more often! Good to see you posting today.

HEIDI, yeah, plumber, water! We woke the other morning to a trickle of water, that soon was only a drip. I "caught up" a couple gallons for nexessities fore I drained the pipes. Water main that feeds up was leaking and they turned it off for repair. BUT I always have a few 2 liter bottles of water ready for emergency. being a good Girl Scout, and staying prepared!having no water was no excuse for mising work back when, and learned to keep enough for coffee and a wash at the sink!

We don't like the taste of our local tap water, so we buy spring water from a vending machine at Publix supermarket. It only costs 30 cents a gallon (you provide your own containers). We always keep about 10 gallons on hand, so hopefully, we'd be ok for a few days if something happened to our water supply. The local water is safe - we use it to shower, wash dishes, etc. - we just don't like the taste.

Well, it's worst case scenario. It's the well pump and/or the underground wiring to the well. The backhoe can't be here until tomorrow to dig it up, so no running water. To me, the worst part is no water to the commodes. We have the newfangled type that are enclosed so you can't just pour a bucket of water in them.
