Ebob has baseball training in Wollongong today - over an hours drive away. With 2 hours of training I will be away for almost 5 hours... Hubby is picking up a new washing machine for us so I get to do the drive.

viv, i'm feeling bad for your flood mess. it's hard enough to get the laundry done, let alone the extra towels from flood clean up. the pics made me laugh.
and how is the health nut (not) cynb feeling today? better? ok almost done... welcome to the far corners of sudokuland amelia!! and have fun at the beach rola. wish we had a beach here in utah. we got a crummy lake. i keep missing madby3. what is her name again? shar? i'm sure i missed something. you sound like a first class wife mizt. i'm not going to tell my husband (who is home) or else he will think i should be just a great.

Rolanda - I meant to post yesterday wishing you luck with todays festivities!!! You probably won't have time to check today so instead I'll say I hope everything went well.... By that I mean that everyone, but particularly the birthday boy, had a fantastic time with lots of laughter.

Well I've put it off for 10 minutes more than I should have.... time to get Ebob up and about so we can head off to training. Hope to catch up later...

Suzy, I, too, have been all over the site, and where and when I could I was witty, caring and conversant. I'm just so special that I know everyone wants to know about any little thought that runs through my mind. I commented on everything except the passion flower. The photo was beautiful, but we've always considered them weeds. Maybe they have a different variety in Oz. However, there's a patch of them out back beyond where I mow, and tomorrow I'm going to find a ripe one and eat it. If you never hear from me again, you'll know why. (There are snakes out there, too, so I'll wear shoes -- might even tote a hoe.)

Actually, a snake would be hard pressed to find a bare spot to bite below my knees. After standing on the fire ants the other night, my feet and calves look like I have a very bad case of chicken pox. Ugh!

I'm glad you're better, Rolanda. Don't worry about the snakes. I'll have my trusty hoe -- and I'm still young enough to run a little.

Rolanda, describe the passion fruit, please.

Passion fruit here is about the size and shape of a goose egg. I suppose they are ripe when they turn yellow. The flesh is a thin layer of white meat inside the rind. We used to throw them on the road to burst them. They pop when they burst. We called them May pops.

I guess you wandered off. I think I will, too.

maEn, all.... fell asleep as soon as I got back from the fair. The Bettas were happy to see me 'cause I brought them a bunch of their favorite live food: water fleas! They started cavorting and somersaulting all over their tanks!

Tomorrow I bring my rooster and my new rabbit, Eric, home. They get released at 5pm, but I'm staying for an 8pm Oak Ridge Boys concert. I'll have a frozen jug of water in with them to keep them cool, once they leave the air conditioned building.

I passionfruit, but I think we're talking about 2 different fruits, Ruby. The one I know is about the size and shape of a duck egg, with a firm shell. When you crack them open, they have this milky glob of seeds and flesh in the middle, which you pour into your mouth like egg yolk (if you ate it raw). In spanish, they're called Granadillas.

Like Ruby, I have passion fruit flowers out beyound the area I mow, but I can stand in a clear area to look at them! that close they are. the flower is identical, the fruit is goose egg sized. I wonder if mine are still blooming or if they have set fruit now? maybe i should wander out there tomorrow and take a look and even a photo perhaps.
