That just proves I talk too much!!!

But I'm sorting pamphlets right next to the computer and can't help myself... that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

Boy I am away for half a day and you kids post a LOT.

I was wondering where the Lachie was sick info came from also, I scanned back about 4 pages looking for Bean's name! Sorry to hear he has been sick and hope he improves soonest.

Vici, I will let you know if we are getting a new page! Usually I am in the loop on that. I think you are getting a glitch that throws you back to something in the past, not the present. Not to worry, I will come and get you if you get lost hehehe.

I vote NO for a page a day format, for All the reasons Ruby said. If things are getting too slow here, we can start a new page, just let me know when you are tired of the delays and lost posts.

One way way to be sure I see you are having problems from just scanning the pages is to use the alein symbol, from smilies, when you are having trouble.

I know we are getting close to time to move, but we have been making about 10,000 posts fore moving. Now we are using a lot more smilies, maybe that is making it slower. Maybe we SHOULD move again, and really get Vici all confused hehehe Give me a day or 2, please and I will check up on it again.

If I remember correctly, Lachie has a cold/flu, which often turns into something worse for him so had to be watched carefully... Might have that wrong, it's pages and pages ago...

Don't y'all take flu shots? (And they do too work and they don't make you sick.)

I hope Lachlie gets better.

How are you Ruby?

Sometimes Ruby, and I believe they don't make you sick. Apparently some people get a cold, think it's the flu and that the shot didn't work. At least that's what I was told when I got mine a couple of years ago....

SUZY, I had a doctors appointment today. I had to go consult with a surgeon. It seems that polyp they found from the colonoscopy is pre cancerous, and they could not get it all removed with the scope. So Sept 9, they will do a little internal nip and tuck. Ot is planned to be same day surgery which means hubby gets to take care of me for a couple days, and he is not the worlds best nurse hehe.

this surgeon is really nice, young and he listens. I can also understand him when he speaks, my last GP I could not understand. OH, there are more tests involved, go for them on sept 5. Mostly blood work, but maybe a chest X ray and a EKG too. OH MY, they should run o8ut of tests soon, donb't you think hehe. This is NOT the kind of life I intended getting

Some of the latest flu vaccines could make you sick, giving you a mild case of flu. but the department of health and CDC assured us in the media, you would not be as sick as you would be with the flu.

yes, many people confuse a cold or other virus with the flu, my own husband is among them! Flu is a measure of how bad he feels. feel a litle bad, it is allergies, feel a LOt bad, it is the flu. A cold is what is left in between. Silly man, and I cannot convince him otherwise, I have stopped trying.

MizT, what good fortune that you have such a thorough doc though? If he wasn't as thorough, they might not have caught the polyp while it was still PRE-cancerous. The removal is just as bad, but the prognosis much improved!!! At least I hope so... My biggest wish is that because of all these tests, your life will be loooooonnnngggg and much more comfortable as you will catch anything bad early. (I do realise that it's easy for me to say that as I'm not the one drinking horrible stuff and enduring stuff even worse!)

OH SUZY, the surgery is not as bad as if it was cancer, he only removing a bit of a place, eliptical area much like removing a spot, not removing a complete section of colon as in cancer surgery.

AND the prep is not so bad, either. He said all I had to do was an enema the morning of, to clean out the lowest section. but I might want a laxative the day before and liquids after, to be kind to myself, and make it easier on me the first few days after the surgery.

YEP, if left alone for long enough, it would have turned to cancer, so I am glad to find it and get it out before it did. I gripe about tests, but I keep going back when they say more, don't I? :)

Great news that they found it BEFORE it turned to cancer. Tell your husband that he'd better take great care of you this time or I'll drive down there and give him a piece of my mind

and sweet dreams!

Fuming here. I was reading the school note while I was waiting for my post to go through and notice that 2 of the girls who have been giving Ally a hard time got awards for 'Being a caring and sensible leader'.... Can I throw up now or will the mess offend everyone?

I'm not game to call or do anything right now Rena, I might say something I'd regret... Maybe in a couple of days though. It's probably meant as encouragement for improved behaviour or something. What about a reward for Ally for being strong at school? Still fuming.... so still can't call...

Good afternoon all - and goodnight Rena - you've probably long gone now.
to Viv and Bean's Lachie (Bean - my only grandson and oldest grandchild is Lachie - I just get warm and fuzzy when I think of that name - all Lachie's are lovely)

Suzy - I'm also fuming about those girls getting awards. What is the school thinking? It may be okay in a few months, IF they prove they've changed their bullying ways, to reward them for improved behavior but not a couple of weeks later. But I agree - calm down before you have your say.

Copy of my post on Easy page today for any SA5ers who may be interested -
We had a koala in our backyard this morning. The dogs in the yard behind us were jumping and whining at our fence. So Hubby and I went up for a look and there, high up in a Macadamia tree was a koala. I just checked and he's still there. Any other aussies - don't they need eucalypts? Anyway, if he's still there in the morning I'll phone the Koala Protection Society - they want reports of sightings anyway. We took photos and if any are clear enough I'll post them later. Note: this is an unusual event - we live in a housing estate not acreage.

Going to cut a long story short here - D#3 and her best friend are being bullied, both verbally and now physically. They are being threatened at school, out of school and cyber!
Didn't need your smoke Suzy, but thanks anyway, had plenty of my own!
Spoke with the coordinator for an hour, suffice it to say, I think the girls now feel a little safer and it looks like there will be suspensions as a consequence.
Just hope there aren't even worse repercussions now that they have named names.

Gail - Sorry to hear that it's happening to your daughter as well as Suzy's. I don't remember it happening when I was at school, or was I blind? Or even when my kids were at school. I have 5 grandchildren, 4 of whom are in the primary school system now - I dread this happening to them. It makes your blood boil that someone you love so much could be treated so badly by one of their peers.
Please give your D3 and her friend a cyberhug from their cyberaunty CynB -

I wish I knew Gail. I really truly hugely hope that your actions today result in a change for the better. Repercussions are scary, but honestly, how could they be any worse than what D#3 is already going through????

Cyn, what a wonderful thing to have a koala in your back yard!!! They not only need eucalyptus trees, but special kinds. (Just been to the animal park so all learned up on that). I think I would call sooner rather than later in case those dogs get it when it's trying to get back to where it belongs....

Gail, I have serious trust issues with schools (strange for someone about to become a teacher, but think it is one principal who has caused it). If I were you I would be asking D3 to let you know if the kids are still at school or if they go missing and following up if they don't seem to have been suspended.

Suzy and Cyn, thanks once again.
Suzy, because last night's incident happened outside of the school, the police have been informed. It was D#3's friend who suffered this, and she went into the local bank in a very distressed state. Apparently they were very kind and helpful to her, and today, they rang the school and put in their own complaint, so it all adds to the weight of evidence. At this stage, I have to put my faith in the school's system as I intend to do this by the book, but rest assured, if we don't get full satisfaction, the matter will go further.

Meant to add, if none of this works, I'll sic the cyber aunties onto them!!!
Cyn, it happened when we were at school, after all, kids have always been kids, (particularly teenage girls have always been b*tches!), but in our day, it wasn't so nasty and cruel, and the word 'kill' wasn't bandied around as much as it is these days!
