Christina Lake has a town. I went to Grand Forks, which is actually a city(small one though)

Hey, I just saw on Easy that Heidi (who is rounding up a bunch of cows tomorrow for the Vet who is coming) has some "good help"! So at least she has hired (or volunteer) help for some stuff. I really want to go to her ranch someday and see it all - and see how she does it all! That is the most amazing part of it all!

I remember about the dentist now. Except for that, did you have a good time?

Ignorant of me...Heidi is herding some cattle (not cows) - I'm SO not a ranch hand. But I do have a couple of cousins who are real cowboys. One of them put himself through dental school riding the rodeos around the country!

I'm back for a short look in, just to say good night. I have a busy morning. The Vet will be here at 9:30 am, to help work the entire cattle herd. Shots for the calves and preg. checks on the cows. But this means rounding them up and penning them all before 9:30. And they're not stupid. They figure out what we're gonna do to them as soon as we start heading them towards the holding pens. This is the hardest part of the whole thing.

I'm just happy if I get to see my dentist twice a year for cleaning...so I do all the recommended stuff to help keep the cleanings as short as possible! Open please!

Besides the Vet and his assistant, there's me, my idiot husband, and 2 very experienced other guys, one of which is my part rime hired help. He won't work for idiot husband. He doesn't suffer fools gladly.
