June, I'm worrying for you so you can stop now. All the questions that used to go through my head when mine were little (still do, but that would make me overprotective since they're older so I won't admit to that - shh) are going through my head now... how high is the temp, should I bribe her, should i take her to the doc??? See, all your worrying done, you can relax now.

Mamacita - good to see you around! Interesting discussion about Virgos & Geminis. I'm a Virgo, and Jaime is a Gemini! Looks like that's a pretty popular combo!!!

Heidi...Glad the horses are back home again....!
I seem to have become adopted by three birds..or at least my front garden has. They have started bathing and drinking from the bird bath I put out. I don't use a feeder because so many of my neighbors have them, thus I selected the water route. I enjoy watching them frolic and drink as I sit at the computer. Several years ago three eggs were hatched in a nest in my rear patio, and I think these birds may be the ones born here. They are a dull brown with black markings on their feathers, larger then swallows, but still on the smallish size...they do a strange group dance after bathing...looks like a group hug with heads bouncing together and wings flapping...lots of fun to watch...they are now resting under the tree...sleeping on the ground they look like three mice...but I'm glad they aren't!
Gath must be missing in action...still no response re my sm status and smilies...oh I haven't checked my avatars...must remember to check...Off to do some dog walking and fix my dinner...See you all on the flip side. Peace!

June, Perhaps you can cut up some raw onions and put them in a stocking or other soft cloth that can be tied around Laura's tummy, and wrist and ankles...the fever will cook the onions, them give her a alcohol bath with tepid water. This will usually break the fever and wont hurt her since its not injested...just be careful that its not wrapped too tightly. Let me know if it helps...I hope so. Your plate is pretty full too. Take care.

Hi Mama
The birds in your yard sound wonderful. I haven't seen the bower birds in my back yard for a couple of weeks now - mostly because I'm not home as much as I used to be! We get willy wagtails bathing in the bird bath in our front yard. It's so cute! Except when they are nesting and swoop down on us.

I have now got the girl out of bed to watch 'Play School' on TV. Earlier I need to stay in bed and you stay with me. I am pleased our spare bed is Queen sized. I stayed with her all last night and as enticing as it sounds did not want to stay there all today. The temp is down to what is was during the night.

I'm glad her temp is down. I hope what she has isn't contagious if you are sleeping with her! I understand why she might need that and am not saying you shouldn't do it (I would have too), just hoping you don't get sick too!

It is such a help just to be able to type in my worries here and feel better for it. Thank you all for listening. Could not use my good thermometer and Laura did not like it under her arm. The old one I used is a strip that you hold on your forhead. It was 37 last night but went to 38+ during the night. Back down around the 37 now. What worries me is she seems to have a headache, but a friend said something like that is going around. I was whiping her face with a wet cloth during the night.

Suzy, I did hear about the walking improving the memory. Guess I need to do a lot of walking.
And Suzy thanks for your concern.
Mamcita, not sure if Laura would let me use the onions and her temp is not quite high enough now to cook them. I do not discount those old recipes though.

I am sooooo glad I don't have to walk today. It is pouring! I'm not sure what I will do if it is raining tomorrow as I really don't want to go on Father's Day...

June, one thing I was told/read when my kids were young was to not give panadol (except it was tylenol because I was in the US) for low fevers as the fever was fighting whatever infection/bacteria is present. I don't know if it's true or not, but thought it might help you to worry less about Laura's refusal to take panadol. (You can tell my kids were young in the US by my use of 'fever' rather than temperature)

Finding the 16x16 really sloooow, don't know if I'll get it finished.

Hello, everyone!

June, hang in there. You are all going to pull through this and be fine -- tired but fine. You're the key to making everything work and you're tough enough to get everybody through.

Ruby...careful what you say...think eaa is getting touchy about her furry nose...she's onto Broni...hehe

Tricia...how absolutely ghastly to have your account cleared out...clearing that up should certainly warrant a few pointers on your list!!!

Nice to Jane commenting and to know she still visits,

June...I'm glad Laura's temperature is down a little...it is very easy for us to say to try not to worry but you will make the right decisions and choices on what is appropriate at the time for Laura...just try not to worry.

Hi Mama...isn't birdwatching the most wonderful way to commune with nature...I just love to watch their antics.

Stick with it Suzy...16x16...dashed things!!!! Get me sucked right in.... BTW I must take up walking...

SUZY, I do have a small account at a different bank and will make do with that till my account is restored. It could have been worse, I could have had a bunch of outstanding checks. We checked today, and I think all my checks had cleared fore this fraudulent charge went through.

BEAN, not nice to steal Ruby's avatar and post comments about eaa's fuzzy nose! use your own avatar, young lady!

Suzy, Laura also tells me her head hurts so need the Panadol for that. Because of other meds Panadol is the one thing she can have.
